Memorial Day weekend 2024: Went on Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend around 5:30-6p and it was moderately busy. Since it was nice outside and we had our dog, we sat outside.
Ordered their bang bang shrimp as an appetizer and it was so tasty. My partner and I both ordered the twin lobster tails, and they were delicious. Hit the spot!
Dog friendly, friendly staff, nice place. Would return if I’m in the area again.
Labor Day Weekend 2024 Edit: We liked this place so much we came back, and I can only edit my old review, not post another. Came on Monday the actual day of Memorial Day for dinner with our dog and sat outside again. It was chilly but it was okay with a sweater. It was very slow there were hardly any customers at all.
We were greeted by our server right away, and she got us our drinks and appetizers. However she disappeared for a long time after ordering apps, receiving the apps, and we finished our apps and we were wondering where she was. She finally came back and asked if we wanted to order more food, which I was taken back because we only order one appetizer for three people and it was the crab stuffed mushrooms which are $18 and come with 4 SMALL stuffed mushrooms. They were okay they were good but just okay. We ordered dinner finally and it came out in a reasonable time and the food was tasty like last time. We ordered the twin broiled lobster tails with green beans and mashed potatoes, lobster ravioli with 2 lobster claws on top in a lobster cream sauce with a side garden salad with thousand island dressing, and the prime rib with a side garden salad with thousand island dressing and French fries.
Twin lobster tails: just as good as the first time, but the green beans were on the steamed side and weren’t soft. Prime rib: cooked to medium rare with a good au jus sauce. French fries are double fried which makes them so good. Salad- average. Lobster ravioli: the sauce was more of a vodka sauce and not a lobster cream sauce. The ravioli tasted like the frozen lobster ravioli I could get in the store. The lobster claws it was topped with, very tasty. Our service was pretty slow, drinks were good, and food was good. Probably would still come back here if I was back in the area.
Overall I changed this review from a 4 to a 3 based on our Labor Day...
Read moreCame here while passing through Lake, George and we’re excited to have some lobster. Sat on the patio. Took about 10 minutes for a server to arrive at our table to greet us and then another 10 minutes to get one glass of Prosecco. We ordered a lobster and a prime rib for our main dishes, the lobster was lukewarm , dirty, and very bland. I finished half of it and felt nauseous. The prime rib we ordered was requested to be medium rare and came out medium to medium well. Up to this point our server was very kind and helpful but when we asked for it to be remade, she started to have an attitude with us and stood there staring blankly at us unapologetically like it was our fault, though we were being apologetic. The next steak took under five minutes to come out, which felt very sketchy, but decided to try it while she hovered over us until a bite was taken out of the steak to ask how it was, the next steak was cooked on one side and raw on the other side, drenched in watery warm juices with a gray hue to it both times. At this point we really were unappetized and didn’t finish any more of our food and just ask for the check. She then started questioning with an attitude what the problem was, my partner mentioned that she was also a chef at a restaurant and it’s just not cooked the way that it should be it was not seasoned, the quality was horrible for a $40 meal. When we got the check, she asked if we wanted a box and we told her no and she goes “if you’re a chef, how do you cook it then? “Which was completely inappropriate and rude. We left feeling extremely uncomfortable, and as we were walking out, the hostesses were clapping never coming back to this horrible establishment again. One positive is she took the steak off the bill we tipped 20% of the original amount because we are in the service industry but overall aside from the food being disgusting the server was extremely rude and confrontational as if the experience wasn’t uncomfortable...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I are here on a little getaway weekend and we love trying local spots when we go away. We look at Google reviews after since we don’t like to set the expectations before we come in.
3.4 Stars might be the most accurate rating to this experience i couldn’t imagined. While our waitress is a sweetheart and knows when she makes mistakes, she’s a space cadet. Brought the wrong meal, spilled oil, forgot a few things, doesn’t really listen. But like I said, she’s a sweetheart that seeks to fix her mistakes and I value that far more than a waiter that does everything correct but is rude or not attentive. The hostess was nice and helpful. The atmosphere feels very lowkey. The inside was awful so we opted to eat outdoors and it was a pleasurable experience.
The bad part is the food. No it’s not terrible but for the price you pay for “market price seafood” it should at least be good. The king crab was overcooked and watery. The “vegetables” which were green beans were clearly canned. The potatoes were okay. The lobster tail was okay. The bread was really warm and felt fresh. The corn is.. corn. The salad and soups were honestly the best part (the dressing was mediocre).
So while I sit and write, the $200 bill this meal for 2 will end up being is awful for a town that already has tons of overpriced food everywhere.
The best part about this place is it feels like the only seafood place within walking distance of the lake.
We didn’t hate our experience but if we were to ever come back here, we’re just getting appetizers and the assorted tacos for...
