Hannaford — Local services in Town of North Elba

Lots of items and variety, but when we went there’s one female employee who’s just annoying for the sake of being annoying. We went in as a family and my brother and me who was all underage was scanning the beer while my mother was there looking, and my brother stupidly flipped the beer over and dropped it o n the floor breaking a bottle, 2 people came to clean it up and the female employee started asking us about our age and said that she needs my mom passport, which was understandable, so we called our dad who JUST went outside to get the passport from the car, and he came back with HIS passport. The female employee then said that his passport will NOT work since he wasnt inside even though we came in together and he just went outside. I asked her why and she said that it’s new york law. It is worth noting that she is visibly frustrated about having to clean up the mess my brother made. I then asked her if we could all walk out and let him complete the purchase and she said no to everything even though it would have been the exact same if we decided to return every item to the same place and let my dad come pick it up and purchase it instead. It is not a big deal as we just went to get mom’s passport but I think the employee should not land her anger on us even though we made a mistake and did cause a mess.
