My stay from February 13th to the 17th. I arrived in town 2 hours prior to check in and waited until 4 pm to arrive at the hotel where they placed me in a side room until after 6 pm according to the screen shot text messages. Along w my only TWO not three dogs (licensed service animals. First made me wait almost three hours for the room because they had a previous client flooded the bathroom because they tried to flush a shirt down the toilet? I tried to cancel but they refused without taking all my money. They never applied the original credit of 299 that I had when I originally had to cancel because of contracting Covid. After waiting for hours and numerous “cleanings?” Of the bathroom the bathtub had hair in it and the sink had marks. The carpet had stains all over which i documented yet they deny ever having and there were stains in places I don’t even know how you make stains under table that isn’t even accessible to someone walking. I tried to extend the two night because of the weather that was bound to hit and in return I received ride a$& messages. Saying they did not have Friday available and when I asked for Thursday night only I got a message that read “as I said we don’t have anything available for Friday” I guess they weren’t able to read the message properly. On top of that I was supposed to be charged $890.00 in my opinion too much for this strange laid out room. But also they were supposed to deduct 299 from the credit I received. Instead they charged me 1090.89. With the 180.00 and 20.00 supposedly for the night they couldn’t rent out the room because of the mud stains on the rug. 5 days after my stay surprise charges as well as no credit for the 299...
Read moreKeyless entry, you are emailed a link to the electronic key. We went to breakfast and our ‘key’ checked us out with our luggage still in the room.|-There is no manager or owner on site. Tried several phone numbers on line and finally got a manager who was so defensive and rude. I tried to explain our issues and he said technology sometimes fails. He also did not care much about the bathroom issues below. Maybe he was having a bad day (as I was not being able to get into my room). He said that I ‘clearly wanted something and what did I want’. Being business owners ourselves, we try to inform another business Owner of shortfalls, but the attitude is what caused me to write this review. It wasn’t about refunding me 50%, it was making them aware. While trying to explain my frustrations the owner would just over talk me. |-They certainly did not appreciate my business. |-So be prepared there is no one on site to help you except whenever housekeeping shows up. |-We had to walk around to find housekeeping who let us into our room without even verifying it was actually our room. Now onto the room. | -Poor maintenance in the room. Toilet seat was so loose it was sliding off the toilet. |-Bolts were so loose we could hand tighten them which helped tighten the seat a little. If housekeeping was appropriately cleaning there is no way they could have missed this. |-Toilet was leaking a lot of water out of the bottom. Had to use our towels to mop it up as well as the bath mat. |-while they did have a Kuerig in the room, the K cups were decaf. |-FYI, could hear the guests on both sides of our room. |-The pool looked nice, it was right on the lake, looks like they had kayaks...
Read moreA redecoration in the past few years has resulted in rooms that seem modern, but are overly full of modern-looking albeit low-end/flimsy/cheap furnishings. The bedding seemed fresh and comfortable. Not much room in the bathroom to set your stuff. The location on the water is nice, although only a handful of rooms have any view. It is an 8-10 minute walk to the village. I had a two-double room with barely space for a small suitcase. A traveling companion had a single queen room which offered a bit more breathing space. A rack with hangars is available, but it's right out in view of everything. The keypad on the door is dark in color and you must stoop low to see the numbers. It may take a few attempts to get the hang of it.||This is a contact-less hotel. Access to the so-called lobby is via a code that you are emailed. Same for the room "key" code. The lobby does have some amenities such as extra towels, etc.||Between the two rooms, there was a malfunctioning coffee maker, and a broken handle on a very old crank-out window. The window screen was loose, and it turns out was upside down; I fixed it myself. My room, at the far end of the building had very low water pressure, but my friends' room at the other end was fine.||It's fine for short stays, if you're not too picky, or your objective is just to...
