While spending a weekend up in Lake Placid looking at our wedding venue we ended up staying and falling in love with Paradox Lodge. After getting to know the owners Nan and Red over some wine and delicious food we knew that we wanted to make Paradox Lodge part of our wedding weekend. Read moreI stayed in the Sky View room in the Cedar building and it was wonderful. The decor was fabulous, from the bark ceiling to the antler stair railings. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom had great amenities and a jacuzzi tub. Nan gave me advice on what to do each day and even checked in later to see if I enjoyed my day. Read moreIt's a fantastic place, with an accommodating staff, free kayaking and canoeing on Lake Placid, and a wonderful breakfast (ours was sliced tomatoes, eggs, toast, sausage, home fries, and tea).
