I wish I could give this place negative stars..the absolute WORST EXPERIENCE. Today was my wedding day and I went in last week for a trial. A guy blew out my hair and I made sure I had an appointment with him again this week so it looked the same. I walked in and they said “oh he’s not available” even though he was standing right in front of me. So I had another girl blow my hair out and then she plugged in a curling iron and gave me some very simple curls. I went to leave (I had already paid at Makeup Queens next door) and they said I owed an additional $25..for what?? Because she used a curling iron and put three bobby pins in my hair..”time is money”. I said if someone would have told me the curling iron she used was extra money I would have said no. The two owners basically harrassed me over $25..they would not take a credit card so they told me to go the the atm or write them a personal check. With that the male owner walked next door to the makeup place to see if they can give me $25 to pay him. I walked in there and he was so rude and disrespectful. He told me I was making a big deal over $25, however this had absolutely nothing to do with the money..it was the principle. They are so shady. The absolute rudest and most greedy people I have ever come in contact with. I don’t like to wish bad things on people, but I sure hope that karma comes back to them tenfold.
**Update - the owners response to my negative review is absolutely absurd. My appointment was for a blowout (exactly the same as my trial exactly one week prior)..nothing more than that. I didn’t know three bobby pins and a curling iron was considered an up do..oh and my own hair comb! Notice how the response mentioned nothing about them giving me a completely different stylist. Such greedy miserable people. Such a pathetic excuse for a hair salon. You don’t get very far in life doing...
Read moreWorse hair salon I've ever been to...ever!!! I went in knowing how to do hair but due to the fact that I can't work on my own head, I was referred to by a friend to go there. When I got there, I showed him a picture of the color I wanted my hair to be. He said okay. I then asked him how he plans on getting my hair to that color. Due to the fact that I know how to do hair, I wanted to make sure he takes precaution, because my hair is damaged at the ends. He wanted to lift my base to an all over dark color, then add highlights. I didn't agree with that method because to apply bleach over color is very damaging. He didn't like that I said that and said "think about what you want, I'm going in the back to have a coffee". When he came out 10 mins later, he asked if I decided what I wanted to do with my hair. So I told him that I decided not to lift my base and to just do a partial highlight with out pulling the bleach through to my ends because they are already light and slightly damaged. He said okay, and went to mix the bleach. I then continued to ask him which volume of peroxide he was going to use, knowing 40 volume would be too damaging. He said "if you know how to do your hair why are you here"? Obviously I can't jump out of my body and work on my own head. Then he said "I don't feel comfortable doing your hair anymore, I'm sorry". I asked what the reason was with no available answer but him not feeling comfortable doing my hair all of a sudden. I'm assuming I knew too much about hair processing and he didn't feel he had the potential to deliver what I was asking for. I would not advise anyone to go there. They are very rude and not very knowledgeable about hair color. I should have known it wasn't the best salon because I was literally the only customer in there. I never write reviews, but this salon was so horrible I was compelled to write...
Read moreok I don’t know where to start. This is BAD. I usually go with danielle for all my haircuts and blowouts but thsi time she was busy. So I asked on the phone if there was anyone else in the salon that was good or EXPERIENCED, so they suggested Neev. They told me he was doing hair for 20 years, and he was very good. When I tell you they over hyped him, I mean they OVER hyped him. When I got to my appointment they asked me if I needed to wash my hair and I said yes, but instead they quickly sat me down to get my haircut by Neve. I have very curly hair naturally so having my hair wet before my haircut is crucial. Neev was Beyond unprofessional, he brushed my hair and he soaked it with the cheap $10 spray I found on Amazon. He told me it was very good. At that point I knew I would be writing this review. He asked me how much I wanted to cut off and I said only the dead hair but keep the length. I also asked for long layers, and without proper measurements he proceeded to cut my hair. IT WAS SO UNEVEN. He cut my hair short in the middle long in the front, and asymmetrical EVERYWHERE. worst part is that the Layers were blunt and short (to my shoulders). However, he did a very good job blowing my hair out straight, it lasted a long time. My hair is my confidence, without it I feel empty. I had long luscious curly hair, and now I wear it in a bun so no one sees my terrible haircut. Every time i look in the mirror I want to cry. I’m so beyond disappointed. At the end when I came to tip him generously, he didn’t even say thank you. I wish I could I ahve my old hair back. Never cheat on your hair dresser. Ever. Only go to people you trust and never listen to the guy on the phone who over...
