Not sure how the other 5* pop up here or maybe we were unlucky. All our miso soup we ordered were just diluted thin miso with no tofu, no kelp. Just water. When we asked the waiter said he can get some tofu bits/kelp for us...but why wait for us to ask?

Read moreShoshaku Restaurant is a hidden gem located in Great Neck that offers close to omakase-quality sushi in a casual setting. Pros: Fresh and high-quality ingredients Knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive staff
Cons: Small and intimate space: The restaurant is small and intimate, which can make it feel crowded at times. Pricey: The sushi at Shoshaku is on the pricier side, but the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the dishes justify the price.

Read moreThis is the best Japanese food I ever eat. It's so delicious and healthy. Any of the dishes are great. My favorite is the teishoku lunch. In this dish you can choose the meat you want such as salmo, chicken teriyaki and others. However the price is a little expensive. The Teishoku lunch in regular size (includes salad, miso soup, tempura, sashimi, cooked vegetables, rice and pickled turnip) cost 26 $. But there are other dishes like salmon fried rice and tuna/salmon bowl (includes salad and miso soup) that cost 12-13$. The customer support is really good and they are very patience to explain what the...
