Men's Wearhouse — Local services in Town of Wallkill

I made an appointment for my husband to come in and be fitted for a suit for our upcoming wedding reception. I told the man I spoke with that my husband wanted a plaid suit- it's a bit different but I had their website pulled up and saw several there and assumed they'd be able to bring something in if it wasn't in that specific store.

We arrived half an hour early for the appointment, we offered to come back at the scheduled time but were told this was fine. Right from the start there was no effort to show us anything. We were shoehorned into two budget options after being told "no we don't have plaid unless you want to go custom and that will run you eight or nine hundred dollars" clearly assuming we weren't there to spend that kind of money or weren't able to. We had discussed what the budget might be for him to have a nice tailored suit that will last a while but they didn't offer to explore that with us. I had to step out to care for our child but it apparently didn't get better from there. The next morning, my husband felt so badly about the negative experience that he called and canceled the entire group reservation.

I really don't understand why they couldn't take measurements and then say "we don't have what you want here right now but we can bring it in".

After, someone reccommend a place local to us- Art's for Him in Honesdale, PA. A small family owned business. If you have the extra time, it's worth the visit. We went in and they were warm, friendly, had an incredible selection in store and had other options that could be ordered in. This rating is because of Dylan and Dylan only. Young man I dont know the name of your manager however if I did here are a few things I would like to say. On Wednesday May 14 my love other and I arrived at mens wearhouse. I had a few pictures of what we were looking for in hand. We entered the store and were greeted by a sales rep from a far and he asked what we were looking for and I said a suit for a funeral. He looked and said I will be with you when Im done. No problem so we didnt move we waited patiently and couple of people walked in and looked around. One gentlmen arrived a short time later with his son and instead of helping us he walked right passed and proceeded to help them after saying he woud be with us shortly. Young man that was rude. Put yourself in our shoes! After a while Dylan was walking by and asked us how can he help us. He kept his word, he took measurements and got him into a dressing room even though that young man was under alot of pressure. He was helping multiple people at one time. He was patient he was kind he was professional and I thank you so much. I want you to know that your manerism and professionalism wont stop at this position or place of employment. The world needs people like you to teach others. Thank you so much for all of your help. He was complimented throughout rhe day with his handsome attire and Versace glasses. Bravo!...

THE TAILOR AT THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!! I brung a suit in to the warehouse to get it tailored and the experience specifically with the tailor was horrible. I had to bring back the suit roughly about five times until he finally got it right. The grumpy old man with glasses was stuck in a 70s/80s bubble. He mentioned to me he wanted to start his own business which caters to the "baggy suit look." Prior to him saying this, I told him I wanted my suit to be slim fitting and the guy had the nerve to say you Middletown guys are late with the slim fit look and that stores are moving away from that look. I had to advise him I'm not from Middletown and slim fitting is what I want. He then starts complaining about doing the alterations and says " I'm doing all these alterations I'm basically giving you a new suit." He said this with an attitude. I had to tell him "well that's good for you at least that gives you job security." It was too much of a back and forth dialog which made the experience exhausting. His attitude was a bit much and he made it feel like I was doing him a favor by getting my suit tailored by him. The staff was friendly and helpful.
