Glik's Boutique — Local services in Traverse City

Wandered the store and admired the pieces only to be loudly and obviously talked about by the two female workers (maybe 23 and 45 y/o?). While marveling over jewelry, the workers seemed to be mocking us and snickering to themselves in whining tones. “Let me buy a ring to match my bracelet” and “Are you STILL finding everything alright??” is what they were saying in mocking voices. They even went as far to comment on their own unkind statements by saying to eachother, “That felt good, I haven’t done that in a while.” Excuse me??? We were there for 15 minutes?? Also why are you mocking customers as they shop your store? Super unprofessional. These women were disgustingly rude, and the epitome of everything a customer service worker shouldn’t be. I’ve shopped at Glik’s (mostly other locations) for 15 years and can usually find some hidden gems for good prices. Glik’s is known for their denim and there wasn’t much selection at this location, and though they have clothing for all ages, I found a lot of the clothing at this location is geared toward teenagers. However, the store is small compared to other locations I’ve been to and real estate is limited on Front Street. The employees didn’t greet or offer to help us which was opposite of my past experiences even at this location. I will likely revisit when I’m in the area, but will otherwise shop on...

I came into Gliks on Saturday June 21st at 4:45 and was in the store browsing for less than 15 minutes due to the rude workers. My friends and I overheard the workers talking terribly about ourselves and other customers who were still inside the store. I’ll never visit again and I put back anything I was considering to purchase because of how horrible they treated customers. I’ve never seen such blatant disrespect from people in “customer service” and was appalled by their behavior.
