I made an appointment online for their Special Honey Pedicure. When I arrived, no one was at the reception, nor did anyone acknowledge me. After waiting, I asked another employee and was eventually asked to go back. This nail salon has no decor and the appearance is very sterile. Everything is white, but not necessarily clean. It's hard to relax in such a bright place. I did not find the staff engaging or friendly. The chair was uncomfortable and the footstool was nothing more than three pieces of 2x4's screwed together with padding on top. They were very flimsy and unstable and kept wobbling. This was probably the worst pedicure I've ever had. The technician was going through the motions and kept walking away into the staff room. She did a very poor job of smoothing out the calluses and when I pointed it out, she said I should've said something earlier. She then told me it will be extra to have her address my concern. I was shocked to hear this as I get pedicures monthly and the tech's always address the calluses. It's part of a pedicure. Don't expect any massage either. They will slap on some goop and then wipe it off. The pedicure was supposed to be 75minutes and during this time the tech walked away 4 times! Stay away if you are used to or expect service with a smile or want to experience a relaxing...

This salon is a hidden gem for classic manicures and gel polish! The attention to detail is excellent, and I never have to give directions—they just know what they’re doing. Cuticle work is done properly and painlessly using a cuticle pusher and clippers, and gel polish is applied perfectly—clean edges with no flooding at the cuticle.

The salon is clean and simple, with easy online booking (though reaching them by phone can be tricky). Prices are very reasonable for the quality of service.

A couple of small suggestions: Swatches would be a great addition—having to look at bottles makes color selection a little harder. Also, more thorough callus removal would take pedicures to the next level. A tool like the one used in Russian pedicures could make a big difference for those needing extra exfoliation.

That said, I’ve seen two different technicians for manicures and pedicures, and each time, I’ve been genuinely happy—which says a lot because I can be hard to please! I’m looking forward to coming...

UPDATED REVIEW: I have now gone to Sis Nail & Lash Studio for gel mani’s and pedi’s since the spring 2024. Each time, the experience, end to end, is pleasant, efficient, of great quality and fair price. It’s my new go-to in Walnut Creek! Helen and her team are meticulous, careful, clean, and do really high quality nail work. I tend to get designs, because I love specialty accents AND because Helen, her sister (Enola) and Marla are AMAZING! I consistently get compliments at work about my nails; professional, but fun and with beautiful design. CHECK OUT THE NEW: Dia de Los Muertos design! Can you believe there aren’t any stickers?!?! They also are very accommodating when you have scheduling needs, or need help paying the parking meter, or drag your 8 year old daughter to your appt and they can squeeze her in for a quick filing and polish application.
