Bourbon Concierge — Local services in Washington

I strongly advise against purchasing from this company!!! I received a $200 bottle that appeared to have been tampered with prior to delivery, despite being packaged in their so-called “industrial packaging.” When the package arrived, I could immediately smell liquor. The bottle was wrapped in plastic, placed in bubble wrap, enclosed in a hard cardboard container, and then boxed. Upon inspection, the bottle itself had no cracks but was visibly wet.

When I removed the foil wrapper from the cap and attempted to pull the cork, the cap peeled off the cork entirely, leaving the cork stuck inside the bottle. The cork was visibly soggy and brittle and I could see the cap had adhesive on it which was very strange. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a cut on the cork that led me to suspect it might have been tampered with (possibly syringed with different liquor, I don’t know). As someone who collects liquor from around the world and has received countless shipments, I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Typically, leaks are due to cracks in the bottle, not from suspicious cork damage..

When I contacted customer support, their response was dismissive and lacked any empathy. They immediately blamed the carrier service and showed no concern for my experience as a first-time customer. Despite providing pictures of the damaged bottle, I was told that the only way to receive a refund was to send the bottle back. This posed a problem because the cork was clearly compromised, making it impossible to securely reseal the bottle for return shipping without risking further leakage. I was understandably uncomfortable with this solution, as it would leave me without both the bottle and my money.

Instead of addressing my concerns, they ignored the issues and continued to shift the blame to the carrier. In my opinion, this company is operating dishonestly and may not be selling what they advertise. Their customer service was appalling, and the entire experience was deeply frustrating.

I do not feel safe consuming the product I received, as I believe it was tampered with before shipping. While they offered to arrange a pickup, they completely disregarded my concerns about safely shipping a bottle without a proper cork. As a result, I have no choice but to contact the BBB about this situation.

Save yourself the trouble and avoid this seller at all costs. The lack of accountability and care for their customers is unacceptable, and I would not trust...

I found Bourbon Concierge while hunting the internet for someone who could help me make a fairly last-minute bourbon delivery order as holiday gifts to folks in multiple different states and they are my company's holiday heroes this year.

The selection here, and the prices, are excellent compared to the competition. Trust me, I know after looking up what felt like every single spirits delivery company in the USA! And, this shop has more flexibility on delivery than most others - where many places I called into were unable to deliver to Virginia or some other specific locales, I was able to cover my entire corporate order here.

I called a bunch of shops and online businesses while looking and Bourbon Concierge was the only one who could do it all for me. Annie called me back promptly the same day I reached out - in the midst of the busiest time of the year - and even facilitated placing the order in bulk over email to save me the time of going through the online checkout. This place blows away the competition and next time I'm visiting my DC relatives, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to drop and talk booze.

If you're looking for someone who can send Weller's by mail to states where it's hard to get, look no further - you won't find anyone with better pricing and service than these folks. Thank you BC for making my holiday season so...

I almost NEVER write reviews, but at times a business far exceeds expectations and it needs to be called out. I started a bourbon collection a number of years ago but struggled with finding a vendor who had a consistently good selection, competitive prices and timely and safe shipments. After five orders covering 15 bottles (I personally drink little, but my friends like these spirits) I can say that without question that the Bourbon Concierge is great. The selection is great and competitive with every other shop. We all know that the price for these hard to find spirits are never "reasonable." But when I compare Bourbon Concierge with other shops they are among the best priced.

None of this matters if you place an order that is not packaged well and does not reach you in a timely fashion. My most recent order was placed Tuesday and arrived today, 3 days later. The packaging could not be more secure. Two of the bottles have fancy boxes and these were wrapped separately to assure that they arrived intact. The bottles are triple wrapped and very secure.
