George Salon at the Four Seasons — Local services in Washington

Worst haircut ever- overrated salon ! I was a loyal customer of George at the Four Seasons years ago but then moved out of state. I recently called to get a bang trim and a little shaping. EJ layered the back of my head all the way to the crown, cut off all the highlights in the back leaving the whole back of my head with dark hair. She left the front long and did not do the bang trim that I requested. According to their website, I subsequently learned that EJ is a nail technician who is "practicing her skills with haircutting". It was a disaster and I subsequently spent another $350 to have highlights replaced and the back re-shaped at another salon. They advised me that it will take 4 months for the back to grow out. I wrote a letter of complaint to the owner who has not offered to refund the $120 haircut and hasn't even had the courtesy to respond. If I could give a zero...

I have relatively straight & fine Asian hair with strong cowlicks, and Timo is great at providing a perfect technical cut and blow dry every time I go to him. I'm an introvert and don't talk much during my appointments and it's never been awkward or uncomfortable. Because I have thinning hair, I use specialty products from my dermatologist and have never been pressured to buy any salon products here. I have watched a lot of the other stylists here too and they do a great job and are very friendly -- it seems like everyone's clients are regulars who have been going to them for years, so that tells me most of the clients here seem very happy with their stylists. The salon is very professional, I've been a regular customer mainly for blow dry and Hair extensions until a month ago where I had the worst experience ever. I requested a keratin hair treatment and their female hair dresser lied to me and told me a bout a new product that is keratin and ended up to be a relaxer . On top of that she added a glaze to the process and after a while my crown hair was broken into halfs that's getting worse and worse day after day.
