I went to Hobby Lobby this evening to return some items and purchase a few new things. It took sometime as we were having some issues finding things and needed manager approval. While I was returning my items I’m assuming she was a supervisor had an associate cover her position monitoring the front while she took a 15 minute break. You could tell he was not confident but was trying his best. During this time it got really busy as a lot of people were checking out, returning items, and needing manager approval which was taking some time. You could tell the guy was flustered and trying to figure out what he needed to do to help. The assistant manager was quite rude to the associate and kept criticizing him rather than helping him but the associate did as the manager said immediately. The store then had a call come in and the associate was told to answer it. A lady had forgotten her bag or items and the associate quickly found it and let the customer know. The customer continued to talk to the associate about when she’d be able to come get it and who she needed to speak to when she got there. During this call the associate still seemed flustered but was being very kind to the customer and providing great service. Meanwhile the assistance manager stood 2 feet away from him criticizing him the entire time he was on the phone with this customer. Then the supervision came back and the manager began complaining to her about the associated and she began to criticize the associate as well. All while this man is standing 2 feet away still on the phone trying to get off the phone without being rude to the customer on the other end.
This is so unprofessional and rude. That associate could hear you even though he was on the phone. While he may have not performed at the level you’d like he was trying his best and didn’t do anything wrong. He was kind to everyone and was trying his best to help those around him and provide good customer service. Instead of supporting him and giving him constructive criticism (key word constructive) they were simply mean. I should’ve have interrupted them or told the manager but I will return tomorrow to speak to a head manager about their behavior cause that’s not okay for anyone to treat an...
Read moreGreat place to shop for decorum, and for odds and ends, or for just about any crafting supplies that you could ever need. However, when you do go here, don't expect it to be a quick trip, unless you know exactly where "whatever you came for" is located.. they don't exactly put much effort into being very available to help. Every time I have been here, I usually have to "hunt" down an employee if I need help looking for something... And that in and of itself can be just as daunting. Seriously, these folks are practically hide and seek champs. Lol. But when you do locate one, they are always sweet, good hearted, and will try to be the utmost of helpful. Only reason I rated 4 stars is the amount of hunting lol. But I still recommend this place...
Read moreGreat store , glad it's in Weatherford,TX. Give a Five Star Rating due to great service. As soon as I entered the doors, i got greeted which was nice. Walking around the store there was always staff members checking up on me to see if I was finding everything I was looking for. Decided to buy some items and went to the registers, and usually the last impression you get from any store is the check out lines. I was waiting in line of course but the cashier (Cecilia) looked up at me acknowledged me and told me she would be with me as soon as possible with a smile. Love the way i got treated from coming in to leaving. Thank you Cecilia and Hobby Lobby team for making me feel special!! Keep up...
