Dining at Azteca Mexican Bar and Grill was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere set the stage for a fabulous evening.
The ceviche was a refreshing start, with its zesty lime juice tenderizing the succulent seafood to perfection. It was a delightful symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. The jalapeño and Blue margaritas were crafted with a masterful balance of sweet and sour, each sip smoother than the last, transporting us to a sunny beachside getaway.
The Mexican Candy shots were a playful twist, a burst of sweet and spicy that echoed the joyous spirit of Mexico.
The Molcajete was a showstopper, served sizzling in a traditional stone mortar, brimming with a variety of meats and vegetables, all simmering in a robust sauce that was both hearty and comforting.
The three fajita beef tacos were a testament to simplicity done right – tender beef enveloped in soft tortillas, with just the right amount of toppings to accentuate the meat's natural flavors.
Service was nothing short of outstanding. Our server, was the epitome of attentiveness, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our plates always full. His recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining experience.
The bar was well-stocked, a testament to the establishment's dedication to quality. The cocktails were not just drinks but creations, each with its own unique twist that made them stand out.

Read moreLet me start off by saying that Azteca in Stephenville and Comanche is awesome. But this one is Weatherford not so much. We ordered beef fajitas and a chicken fajita salad and guacamole bowl as appetizer. The food arrived very quickly (before the guacamole person to make the guava at the table) so I canceled the appetizer. Then as they were placing out plates they had brought the wrong meals - ground beef taco salad and chicken fajitas. I pointed this out and they said okay we got it backwards. A bit later bring out my husbands beef fajitas but no tortillas and say my chicken fajita salad will be right out. It want and neither were the tortillas. We wave the waitress down to bring tortillas and shortly thereafter she brings me a taco salad made of some kind of shredded pink chicken. I said “this is chicken fajitas meat?” And she said “yes, well, it’s chicken, you said chicken.” I told her I ordered chicken fajita salad. She said she would take it back. I told her that I would just remove the chicken and eat the salad. I use the term salad loosely here as there was maybe a half inch of salad underneath all this pink chicken there was maybe a half inch f green salad. I asked for more lettuce so I could at least eat something and my husband asked that the fajita salad be taken off our bill. I ended up not even wanting to eat and guess what…the chicken fajita salad was not taken off our bill. Very disappointing since we love the...
Read moreBig disappointment. We were looking forward to have a decent Mexican food place around here, and were hopeful after hearing good things about Azteca. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for early dinner. It wasn’t busy whatsoever- a few tables on their patio, one or two tables in the dining area and a few folks at the bar. Immediately obvious was the horrendous state of filth on the place! There was trash—napkins and such, as well as old food EVERYWHERE on the floors as the host led us to our table. There were old plates of dried food on the tables that belonged to employees- along with their vapes and a couple phones. We had to ask for our table to be re-cleaned, and our menus were disgusting- old queso and salsa had the pages stuck together.
Also obvious was the number of young employees standing around, talking, on their phones- especially while the restaurant was on the state it was. Our service was less than desirable as we had to wave the server over to ask for water and for our check.
Food was “meh”. I ordered the chile releno with chicken, and it came with a spoonful of shredded chicken- literally 2 bites worth slopped on the side. Chips and salsa were decent… Given our whole experience, I think it’s safe to say we won’t be going out of our...
