Miller Street Kitchen and Catering — Local services in Wenatchee

So far communication has been drastically lacking multiple times and we haven't even had our wedding day done. Me and my fiance made our deposit with this catering service a couple of months ago and about a month later we received a email saying that due to the contract being deleted from their system our contract was automatically voided. Tried emailing multiple times, left multiple voicemail messages and no response. Had to go in person and leave a message with the secretary to finally get a response back saying our contract was still in place and that things had to be deleted from storage. Then when we tried to get a tasting date reserved which has a fee to do, we tried email messaging multiple times and again no response and I had to go in person again to get a response. Though the phone number I gave was not called, she seemed to have left a voicemail with the wrong number even though she's talked to me on the phone before. I called the boss of that person to call me which she did and we discussed these issues . I asked for a discount due to the stress and time I've wasted going on-site but the manager Dawn didn't agree and seemed to push for me to cancel due to thinking she can't meet our satisfaction standards. If I stick with this catering company I'll update.

My husband and I used Miller Street Kitchen and Catering for or wedding, and the initial experience of choosing our dishes, tasting, etc., was good and food ended up tasting good, but they did try to increase our final payment amount by ~14% less than 3 weeks before our wedding which definitely added some stress to the process. (Of note, our guest count, food, location, staffing requirement, and all services needed did not change from our initial quote/contract – they just increased the service/staffing fees without any notification or explanation.) They were accommodating when questioned on the price increase, but I do wonder if they were hoping that as a busy bride I wouldn’t notice the increase on our invoice, as they said nothing about it at all until I asked why the invoice was more than I expected. As I said, the food was good, we did a variety of sliders which all tasted good although the cheeseburgers had none of the toppings we agreed upon (pickles, caramelized onions, I think there was supposed to be a sauce?) – just bun, patty and cheese only. Miller Street Catering handled both my Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding in the Chelan/Manson area, and they were great. Our Rehearsal Dinner was held in a private backyard with 60 guests, and Miller Street set up a beautiful buffet with fish, pork, and veggie tacos that were absolutely delicious. They also offered a fantastic variety of sides.

For our wedding, we had a plated dinner for 200 guests, and once again, Miller Street delivered. The food was hot, flavorful, and served promptly. We started with a salad and our guests had the option to pre select Salmon, Pasta or Tenderloin for the main course. MS also served cookies as part of our dessert option & those too were a hit with our guests.
