Just left this place and as we were walking through and were looking at items, a older gentlemen came up to us and said "Those items aren't for sale", (mind you there is no rope blocking this area nor is there a "do not touch" sign)so we said okay. And kept looking. Instead of asking us nicely to please not touch the items, he repeatedly really loudly "Ma'am those items are not for sale! Please get away from it!" loudly and rudely. This may not seem like the worst thing to say but the aggressiveness and tone was super inappropriate. I said back to him, we didnt realize that's what he was asking and he said "well I thought I already had" and walked away. So yeah definitely not going back and definitely not recommending this place to anyone. Hewitt’s Antiques is a fantastic spot for anyone who appreciates unique and well-curated treasures. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and it’s clear they put a lot of care into the collection.
The shop is filled with beautiful, interesting pieces — many with local history — and the furniture selection especially stood out. There were several well-priced items I absolutely plan to come back for (and probably won’t stop thinking about until I do).
Whether you’re a serious collector or just love discovering cool old things, this place is well worth a visit. Can’t wait to return soon...
