Review for Nobel House
I had the opportunity to dine at Nobel House recently, and overall, it was a pleasurable experience that I’d be happy to repeat—with a few small tweaks to my order. I tried two dishes during my visit: the California Poke and the Huli Huli Chicken with a side of fried rice. While not every element hit the mark, the highlights were impressive enough to leave a positive impression.
Let’s start with the California Poke. This dish was a standout in every way. The fish was fresh, well-marinated, and accompanied by toppings that enhanced the flavors rather than overpowering them. The texture was spot on—light yet satisfying—and the balance of ingredients felt thoughtfully curated. It’s clear that care is put into the preparation of the poke, and it’s a dish I’d gladly return for.
Next up was the Huli Huli Chicken, which continued the trend of high-quality preparation. The chicken was cooked perfectly: tender, juicy, and infused with that smoky-sweet Hawaiian flavor that defines the dish. The glaze had a nice depth to it, with just the right mix of sweet, savory, and a hint of tang. The portion size was generous, and the presentation made it even more inviting.
Unfortunately, the one downside of my meal was the fried rice. It was noticeably overcooked, resulting in a dry, somewhat chewy texture that made it difficult to enjoy. It also lacked seasoning, which left the dish feeling flat and underwhelming in comparison to the rest of the meal. While it wasn’t inedible, it didn’t meet the standard set by the other components. With a little more attention to moisture and flavor, it could be much improved.
What really helped elevate my experience at Nobel House was the exceptional service. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. My server was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, which made ordering a breeze. The food arrived promptly, and I appreciated the level of care shown throughout the meal.
Pricing at Nobel House is also worth noting. For the quality of food and the portion sizes, the prices are very competitive. I felt that I got excellent value for what I paid, which isn’t always the case when dining out. It’s refreshing to find a restaurant that doesn’t skimp on portions or quality while still keeping the menu reasonably priced.
In terms of ambiance, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting—perfect for a casual meal with friends or even a laid-back date night. The space was clean, well-lit, and had a comfortable, modern vibe that added to the dining experience.
All things considered, I enjoyed my time at Nobel House. While the fried rice could use some improvement, the rest of the meal, combined with great service and solid value, made for a memorable visit. I’ll definitely be returning to try more dishes—and next time, I might just swap out...
Read moreSo I tried this place out today it should definitely not be called The Noble house when the food is not even fit for a peasant so here's what I had a steamed bun which was definitely over microwaved and hard on the bottom and the Honolulu chicken which when ordering it seems like it would be a whole chicken peice on the bone but no what you get is a plate full of what looks like chicken pieces both white and dark meat that are extremely gray with some charred spots and no flavor lacking salt and just plain disgusting and dry again this seems as if it was microwaved the macaroni salad it was pretty decent I would have to say and some rice underneath the chicken and a big scoop of it to the side which was so mushy it didn't even resemble rice the service was okay I would have to say but when talking to the guy behind the counter they did not even have kimchi thought it was a little disappointing not a huge deal though you did not bring up if I likes the food or anything of that nature so I really didn't say anything until I got up and asked him if there was a trash can so he could throw this away because I was not digging it and did not even eat more then 4 bites he just took my box and threw it away he didn't even seem concerned that I did not like the food which was a little disappointing as well not that I'm looking for a free hand out or anything else but if somebody doesn't like something you should at least be concerned of what they did not like and take some feedback not really sure how this place has a food truck or how long it will be open but in my book I won't be hitting up either one of them again and definitely will not make a recommendation to any of my friends for this place aloha aloha aloha such a disappointing...
Read moreI went to the reopening, and I know there are going to be kinks, and debated about posting this but I feel like I have to. I went to the other locations almost religiously and was excited they were opening again. The service was atrocious. Honestly it wasn't too bad when I got there and was waiting in line, but right as I stepped up to order a young man came in and said he was there to fix everything and then began bad mouthing and berating the other employees. It was appalling. The two men that were there were doing pretty well on their own considering and certainly didn't need this young man to come in and start talking crap on them loudly to the guests. I ordered one of my favorites, the ahi poke, which was taste wise just alright, but was crammed into a small clam shell box, when I could see they had the large portioned ones on the plating space. I looked over and even the khalua pork meal, which comes with macaroni salad and rice was also being crammed into the small boxes. When I opened my box some of my food toppled into the table, it was so crammed in there. I'm so disappointed and I hope they get this all figured out, because that experience would make me not want to go back ever. Update: The containers for everything but the poke were replaced with bigger, but the poke is still spilling out...
