This was my first time visiting this Goodwill, Wilsonnville location. It was about an hour before they closed and I appreciated the announcement that the dressing rooms would be closing soon. I would have kept shopping and not been able to try anything on, which saved me from having to return anything. For those of you who are new to Goodwill, all purchases you want to take back must be returned to the same location you bought it from and within 30 days from the date of purchase. You must have the receipt and the tags still attached. Goodwill will ONLY give in-store credit. You will get a printed return slip that looks like a receipt and shows the return amount. The good news is that you can use it at ANY of the Goodwill locations. Be aware that the return slips do expire!
I noticed they were hiring and from the laughter of the staff, it seems like a fun place to work. Plus, I hear they give an employee discount.
I know I sound like a recruiter, but I'm not. I just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone looking for work. I am, however, a local guide on Google Maps and enjoy sharing my knowledge, experiences, and ratings for places I've been and I do recommend taking a look around the...
Read moreBusy place. Was disappointed in employees, no one says "excuse me or hi". Encountered numerous employees on the floor stocking. Not friendly or engaging at all. Busy stocking the shelves even fuller than what they were so it was hard finding things without having to move a bunch of items. The prices for us were a bit high. Some still had store price tags on them and the "goodwill" price was maybe $1 or $2 difference if lucky. Some items had a great price on them. We were there on a day where it seemed like the parents didn't care what their children were doing as they would put things all over the floor and not make them pick it up therefore I almost tripped over a little girl and the items she left right in front of me. :) While waiting the check out, the one employee engaged in her customer for close to 10 minutes therefore causing a nice line to get even longer. The cashier that checked us out checked out 4 customers, before the lady even left the other line. I understand chatting and having a great conversation but not at the expense of a line getting longer. In the end it is a fun store to go through to see what treasures...
Read moreUsed to enjoy coming here, & a friend would bring her elderly care client with short-term memory issues…not easy at times to encourage the friend/client to get in line to leave-she was having a great time & kept forgetting within a minute, need multiple caring reminders, some w/ humor. That was about the only time of day they could get there, the last hour or so. But 1 staff, dark haired lady, who used to be a bit friendly, now seems snappish & angry -maybe triggered if anyone’s in the store the last 15 or 20 minutes closing?? Nearly chased them out 1 time @7:50 or 7:55 (8 pm closing time,) so they didn’t return to shop for awhile. When they finally did, not only did a cashier remind people (intercom) to leave “now” at quarter till, but also played a recording a half minute later of a man saying it. My friend & her elderly friend left by 7:50, & heard someone, presumably the dark haired gal, throwing things onto shelves…Making a passive-aggressive point?? to the few customers left in the store,...
