Rex Spa Hà Nội. We were greeted by Han who is so gentle, calm and friendly. Han gave relevant information and invites us to come back when we were free. This is a stark contrast to the aggressive approach adopted by the many massage/spa places that are a dime a dozen. I had an Aroma massage where Han focussed on the more problematic areas. She regularly checked in about the strength. I then had a pedicure which was also nicely done. The Spa itself offers a calm, tranquil environment with peaceful music playing. The staff are quiet and respectful, not talking amongst themselves while the treatments are taking place. The owner sat with me while I waited for the pedicure to start, making friendly conversation. While it is a little more expensive here, it’s definitely worth it because of the quality and lovely environment. And of course, it’s far, far less expensive than these services at home! I...

Had a very bad massage here a while ago, and I have had a lot of massages both in my own country and during my travels to compare with. The woman's force was strong (which I don't mind normally), but not at all on the right places, I had to tell her a few times that it hurt because she was pressing my bones. From the beginning on she asked a lot of times "please tell me if pain" which made me believe that she has had the complaints before. A good therapist knows where to massage and what hurts and what not, a good therapist does not need to ask many times. The only part that I liked was how she massaged my lower legs and hands.

Then afterward she tried to press me into giving a good review, while she was sitting next to me. This is a practice that is common in Hanoi and one of the reasons I will never want to visit this city and its people again. 5star google reviews are not to be trusted...

I had the pleasure of visiting Rex Spa every day during my time in Hanoi, and I can't speak highly enough about my experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel like I was in the best hands.
