SEN Spa & Massage Since 2009 — Local services in Hà Nội

We walked in the rain to come here after having breakfast on our first day in Hanoi. The door was closed but the nice lady at the shop beside it made a call and someone opened the door for us. We decided to get the 75mins Vietnamese massage. We got a but confused when we finished early but they actually only did 60mins and charged us accordingly ($15.59).

We have go up the 3rd floor to our massage room. It was clean and the sheets smelled good. We were used to a lot of massages and we both felt that our masseuses knew the muscle lines and points but lacked the pressure we wanted. It was hard to ask because we don't speak the language and their English is also limited. We should have asked via Google translate but we also wanted to just lie down and see it through. Overall, it was relaxing enough for the price we paid.

I wanted to have a foot massage but the place I usually go (more expensive spa) was fully booked. So I ended up at SEN Spa and my therapist was Miss Phuting. She gave me an amazing 45min foot massage and at the end a little neck/shoulder massage. The neck and shoulder massage was so incredibly good that I booked a extra 30min for my neck and shoulders. Normally I don't do a second massage and especially not my shoulders and neck due to pain and tension because it can hurt even more when the massage is not good. Phuting was so professional and experienced. The pressure was perfect, slowly increasing after my muscle tension started to relax. She knew the pressure points and saw the problematic spots and worked with them. I will go there from now on. I went twice during my stay about a month odd ago. Never found the time to review till now. But felt an urge to ‘cos it was enjoyable and beneficial both times. Service was great- friendly and very smiley staff. While having my feet soaked, I witnessed a staff member deal with some potential customers who tried to haggle despite the prices being clearly stated. The staff dealt with the situation firmly but very politely. Didn’t detect any annoyance. Quite impressed with that. There are older and younger staff members. The older ladies have greater strength and .. are just more confident. You can feel it when they massage. The younger ones who served my partner and I still left us feel relaxed but you could feel they need polishing. But hey, everyone deserves a chance to improve. Overall,...
