Tâm Spa 38 Hàng Bông — Local services in Hà Nội

We visited here because of the cheap price but I was very DISAPPOINTED.. PLEASE CHECK THE PRICE EVEN WHEN YOU PAY.)

We heard that 1 hour foot massage was 200k per person (it was written on the list which was right on the entrance they showed us.) but they made us pay 250k per person after the massage. A team member of us who didn’t hear the actual price at first paid after the service, but I thought it would be ok because we negotiated BEFORE the service… of course, it was my fault not to check together in VIET NAM and just believe the one who pays. It does not make sense that we chose 250k, cuz the price 200k was written on the massage menu they showed us. I regret not to have taken the picture of the menu on the entrance. I recommend this shop to advertise an official menu on Google. :) I know 250k and 240k are of course reasonable price but you know this case does not make sense.

we remember that we chose this shop because of very nice price. Especially I haven’t heard the price of 240k.. Another team member is also remembering it was 200k. It was not only my memory. (My actual job is sales and I really remember the exact price, cuz I found this shop after google search saying reasonable prices.)

Also, they make customers write a paper after the service, and you have to choose tip suggestion among some options. They have blank actually but you may just check the cheapest option numbered, and it costs almost same or more expensive than other premium massage shops which has its own employed massagers. (It seems that they call some other massagers right away when some customers come in. One woman massaging other customer was wearing white flower patterned dress and big gold necklace.. I think it’s not a proper fashion for professionals..)

Of course, the massager I met was really nice but I was really disappointed by the this situation. The person who made us pay more was same one as the one who let us know the service price before we went into the shop.

We have been visited so many massage shops in many countries (we come to Viet Nam many times a year. Also came here just 2 months ago.), but I cannot recommend this shop.

We left the kids at the hotel and wandered through the lively streets of Hanoi, enjoying a rare moment of peace and quiet. Somewhere between dodging scooters and searching for street snacks, we were gently “hooked” into this massage salon by a very persuasive lady at the entrance.

At first, we were skeptical—it looked like every other massage place on the block. But after some smooth negotiating (she really knew how to sell it), we gave in. Our feet were sore from all the walking anyway, so why not?

We were welcomed with warm herbal neck wraps and a soothing foot soak in a fragrant herbal bath. As soon as the massage started, we looked at each other and knew: these ladies were professionals. We walked in aching and tired, and floated out completely refreshed.

The next day, we brought the kids and decided to try the salon right next door—just to compare. It was good too, but this one was still the clear winner.
