Italian cuisine thrives in Armenia, and COMO stands as a testament to that. Situated in the heart of Yerevan, it boasts an open terrace and indoor seating. The open kitchen is a highlight, offering a front-row seat to the culinary action.
FOOD:
This is Italian fare with a twist—don’t expect pizza. The menu is concise yet brimming with intriguing options. The pasta stole our hearts: perfectly al dente, smooth and springy, with a spot-on balance of salt. The sauces, crafted with evident skill, sing of premium ingredients. Among the starters, the vitello tonnato was a standout—tender meat cloaked in a creamy, subtly fishy sauce, a textbook rendition of the classic. The dorado carpaccio shone too, its fresh fish flavor nigh impossible to fault. For mains, the octopus was a triumph—tender where it’s so often tough—with smoky notes lending character, paired with flawlessly cooked potatoes. Desserts demand attention, especially the medovik: a masterclass in honeyed layers and generous cream—kudos to the pastry chef!
SERVICE:
The service was impeccable. Staff are well-versed in the menu, offering tailored suggestions with a warm, approachable demeanor. They’re ever-present without hovering, and dishes arrive promptly—a seamless experience.
VERDICT:
For Italian cuisine in Yerevan, COMO is a must. Prices may nudge above the city’s average, but you’re investing in top-tier ingredients, exquisite flavors, and an ambiance that’s simply delightful. A...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Como Restaurant in Yerevan, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is cozy yet sophisticated, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or a special occasion.
The food was absolutely delicious—everything from the starters to the main course was prepared with great attention to detail and bursting with flavor. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and each one seems crafted with care and creativity.
What truly stood out, though, was the outstanding service. Mami, our server, went above and beyond to make our evening special. He was attentive, friendly, and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. His warm demeanor and professionalism added an extra layer of charm to an already wonderful evening.
I highly recommend Como Restaurant to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Yerevan. You won’t be...
Read moreA decent, albeit very pretentious and overpriced place for a meal, while watching all the juvenile insecure guys showing off in their unaffordable cars, along with young women prancing around with their horribly inflated lips and recently adjusted noses.
Service severely lacks leadership, which seems to be a common problem in this city, along with food delivery timing. Not sure why anyone would want to receive their second course while still eating the first, but alas, that's how it is here, even after specifying otherwise in advance to your server.
Lastly, I find it quite baffling that an upscale Italian restaurant could run out of all their homemade pasta, except for lasagna, by 7pm on a Friday evening.
That just reflects very poor management.
It's definitely not a restaurant that I would return to, despite the delicious...
