I recently visited this bar for the first time with some friends — both girls and guys. As someone who doesn’t live in Armenia, I was looking forward to a relaxed and social atmosphere. Unfortunately, what I experienced was the opposite.

While dancing and speaking politely with a girl, the manager suddenly approached me and said that it was not allowed to talk to girls in this bar. Let me repeat: not allowed to talk to girls — even politely and respectfully. I’ve never heard of such a rule in any civilized country — whether in Europe, the US, or anywhere else.

It felt like a made-up rule, used to intimidate newcomers. The situation escalated when someone with the manager started yelling at me, for no valid reason. It became clear that this place is not welcoming to first-time visitors — it’s as if only the regulars belong, and everyone else is seen as a threat.

This experience was disappointing and disturbing. If you’re looking for a respectful and open environment, I strongly advise you to avoid this place. The management operates on arbitrary rules, and the atmosphere is anything...

What should I say, they ruined my Birthday celebration :( I went there a week before the BD, the manager assured me that I can celebrate there and ask me to come a day before to order snacks. We called once again 2 days before the event, they confirmed our reservation. A day before (which is today), when my husband went there to preorder food, they told him that everything is canceled because of some construction work they couldn't finish today (at 22:00). They didn't call us, didn't schedule renovation after the reservation. Just told us sorry. Go find another place for 20 ppl we can't do anything. Simona is the best pub in Yerevan! I've been visiting Armenia for the past 6 years and tried most of the pubs in town and let me tell you this: Simona serves the best cocktails. The menu gets regularly updated, each month or few they offer new list of special cocktails, each one tastes as good as the other! Simona is a place were they play 70's funk and 80's music, if you are an enthusiast of this genre then this place is perfect for you!
