We visited this restaurant with friends after it came highly recommended, and we came in with high expectations. From the start, the interior design was beautiful and welcoming, but it was the food that truly stood out.

We ordered the KEYAKI set menu, which was a well-composed and thoughtfully balanced course. The chef prepared the teppanyaki dishes right in front of us, and everything was incredibly flavorful. We left feeling very full and satisfied. Since we’re big fans of sashimi, we also ordered an additional sashimi plate—and it did not disappoint.

One minor downside was the tempura. It was a bit underseasoned, and the dipping sauce lacked depth. That aside, the rest of the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious.

I highly recommend the sake plate as well. It includes a variety of sake to sample, each served with small bites on the side. The quality and value are outstanding.

The overall drink lineup is impressive, and the food was consistently excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality Japanese...

After going to a game of footy in Adelaide and watching my team win, there’s nothing like celebrating at a nice restaurant like the Shiki, Adelaide's Award Winning Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant located at the InterContinental Adelaide. This is where you can immerse yourself in authentic Japanese teppanyaki in the heart of Adelaide. Headed by Shiki Chef de Cuisine, Kenny Trinh, where the team have created a delicious menu of truly succulent sushi, sashimi… and the list goes on and on. They are without a doubt, the ‘best of the best’, and proud to showcase South Australian produce. The menu is extensive like the wine list, however I strongly suggest you try the sushi and sashimi selection, prawn tempura, wagyu beef, bok choy and snow peas, vegetable fried rice and miso soup, and for dessert the mango mousse with coconut jelly. All complimented with the traditional Japanese wine, sake. What more can I say - Everything was tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything else was cosy and romantic. Very Highly...

The restaurant is located in top floor of InterContinental Hotel in Adelaide CBD. The reception was very nice and the service was so professional and quick. There are several set menus and you can easily choose from them. Various combinations of meat, seafood and veggies. The meal started with beautiful and tasty selection of sashimi which was one of the best sashimis i have had so far. Prawn tempura was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, crunchy outside and very juicy. Next corse was fresh lobster. It was tasty and sweat but could be done a touch less cooked. The beef filet was suppose to be rare but it was more on the medium side. The beef quality was ok but not perfect. It was a bit too lean and no fat marbling so not very flavoursome but tender. The fried rice, miso soup and desert were very nice. The most fun part is the cooking is happening right before your eyes and it is table side. The place is very good for people in 5 to 10 and it is fun watching the chefs cooking and serving food. Definitely a good restaurant to visit and...
