Antep Chargrill and Kebab — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I'm a frequent visitor to this restaurant, both alone and with friends, primarily due to its convenient location near my home and consistently satisfying food. The overall experience is usually enhanced by the warm hospitality exhibited by the staff. However, my recent visit left me somewhat puzzled.

In the past, it was customary for the restaurant to offer complimentary tea after the meal, and this had become an expectation. On this particular evening, I decided to order a cup of their delicious tea, assuming I would not be charged for it. To my surprise, the staff initially informed me that I needed to pay for the tea first as it is not free.

This sudden change in policy surprised me, as I was accustomed to their previous practice of providing complimentary tea. Nevertheless, I went to the cashier to pay for the tea. However, the cashier kindly informed me that I didn't need to pay for the tea.

While I believe most customers are willing to pay for a cup of tea, it's the inconsistency and lack of clarity regarding this policy that can be somewhat bothersome. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to communicate their tea policy clearly to ensure that customers have a consistent and hassle-free experience during...

Very rude customer service. But on the top the food they are cooking is worst quality. I have ordered two mix and two chicken kebabs for my family.These guys took almost 30 mins to give us the kebabs. The owner was trying to control the counter and cooking and service and none of these things he was doing right. Due to this he was under pressure and his behaviour with the customers was very rude. The kebabs served were dry and tasteless. The kebabs were overcooked and smell burnt. You have to put ton of sauces in it so that you can swallow them in. The chips served were dark and black in colour. These guys must need to change thier oil immediately. Brisbane council must visit them to inspect thier cooking utensils and thier food quality. Myself and kids have left almost all of thier food on the table. Waste of money and time. They are taking advantage of the location. I am sorry but I felt that I need to share my experience here so the people who wants to go thier with families...

Have been going there for years. The food is great, the young chef is friendly, attentive and great customer service.

However, it all came to great disappointment when we requested a certain item to be excluded from the salad. To our dismay, the meal was served with the item still in it.

We raised the issue to The Boss/Manager and his response was “Don’t eat it then”, and walked away. It didn’t end there, instead he made a mockery of the allergy exclaiming “who has an allergy to …?” to a customer who was waiting to be served.

He then came back to us with a plate offering to discard the item which I’d just separated from the salad.

He returned later and apologised as he had researched the food item and conceded that the item could caused a serious reaction.

His attitude was appalling with little regard and respect to customer’s health concerns.

It’s a real shame, as we will never be going back...
