Burger Time 69 — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I’m leaving this review here because I can’t give detailed feedback via UberEats.

I want to start by saying that I’ve ordered UberEats from you guys on several occasions in the recent past, and the food has always been very good. I’m hoping today was a one off slip up.

I ordered the buffalo crunch burger and chips. The buffalo crunch burger, which is my favourite, did not taste like it normally does. There was no evidence of any blue cheese sauce, and rather than the tangy spicy buffalo sauce I normally get, the burger I received today had a weird sweet taste to it (there was definitely a red sauce in there, but it’s almost like maple syrup got onto the burger somehow).

The chips were terrible. They were soggy, and seemed undercooked. Almost like they were meant to be double cooked but someone forgot to stick them in the fryer a second time. I’m less than a kilometre away and my food was delivered within 5 mins, so I don’t think that played a role in it.

Edit: It's a week later, I decided to try again and ordered my dinner from you guys. I'm pleased to report that the buffalo crunch burger was great this time; but the cheeseburger I ordered was missing from my order entirely. I'm afraid I'm done. I'm too tired and hungry to continue risking my dinner ordering...

I love burgertime 69 and I absolutely ADORE their vegan burgers (and I’m not even vegan but partner is so I eat a lot of plant-based). However, the West End store seems to have a really high turnover of staff which affects consistentcy.

One time I came in asking for a Vegan with the lot and big conversation ensured between the front person and the cook out the back which ended with me getting the cheeseburger instead because the cook was new and had never made a made a vegan with the lot before (and didn’t know how to, even though it’s on the menu). Another time the chips were too salty to eat, although to their credit they offered to re-cook them for us. Sometimes staff seem like they don’t know what they’re doing, both in service and food prep. Other times the food is flawless with excellent service as well. This place has so much promise to become a really excellent vegan-friendly burger joint, if they could just put a bit more time and effort into training and maintaining staff.

On a good day, it’s still the beat vegan cheeseburger I’ve had in Brisbane (including grassfed, grill’d and the rest) so I really hope they address their staffing/quality issues and thrive...

Nathan is an absolute legend. Super friendly,never too busy to have a chat, and always greets you with a smile and his beautiful dog waiting for a pat. The burgers are to die for,I can't rate it more,if I could I'd give it 100 stars. The Zeus and the maple bacon burger are insanely good. Do yourself a favour and drop in. I've walked in having a bad day,he brightens it. I walk in,in a happy mood,I walk out laughing. With a fist bump when you leave. BURGERTIME 69!!!! Just had the brisket loaded fries....the best loaded fries I've ever had. Every single thing I've had from there(i go there a lot😏) has been amazing. Do yourself a favour. Go treat yourself and the family to the best burgers in QLD. Yep its worth travelling for. Tonight, I was greeted with a hug from Nate and lots of licks and kisses from his adorable pup.
