Just gone onto the gelare australia page and the gelare southbank page on facebook. You guys advertise all of your waffles with ice cream on them on both fb pages and inside the shop the photos on the menu also are advertised with icecream ontop and then you serve them without icecream and say it costs extra. Your an absolute joke for doing it like that I and many others wouldnt have purchased your mediocre plain waffle if we knew you wouldn't serve it with icecream? Your taking advantage of the fast paced atmosphere not relying on repeat customers because of your location, change your add or stop holding out on people you are an ice cream shop, you claim to be the best but dont even fall close. Also the amount of mock cream and the tiny swivel of sauce just made it that much hilarious not only you falsely advertise the ice cream with actual toppings you do put on are miserable, we dont need this crap in southbank 1/10 don’t bother responding with the fake “sorry you had that experience” just fix it you...

Whoever planned Brisbane City did a terrible job because some suburbs have no dessert places or good restaurants for miles.

We drove here on a Friday night, just for dessert, and it was very underwhelming. We ordered the Nutella pancakes, which we got, but there was nothing outstanding about it that justified the long drive or the expensive parking options near here.

Also, any empty tables are likely to be dirty because customers don't clean up after themselves. We had to get staff to clear a table, but they didn't wipe it down, and there were still crumbs leftover when we sat down. I've had this experience in other places like Starbucks. I don't want to state the obvious, but in some countries, you get superior service like spotless tables, complimentary water kept ready, and other things for a fraction of the price you pay in Australia.

Cmon team, put some effort into the presentation. Give us a Masterchef inspired pancakes dish. Use other ingredients, even nuts, to make it...

The customer service was disappointing. I ordered waffles with banana ice cream, but the order came with five banana slices instead. When I asked for the ice cream, I mentioned they could leave the banana slices since they were already on the plate. However, the staff member rudely said no and removed the slices. I was shocked to see the plate returned without them. Not only did they mess up the order, but their attitude and lack of customer service were frustrating. Arguing over a 30-cent banana and claiming it costs $2 was ridiculous.

To add to the disappointment, the frappe coffee we ordered with extra caramel syrup had no caramel flavor at all. At that point, I didn’t even bother complaining—it felt pointless.

Oh, and the waffles didn’t taste good either. Definitely not worth...
