Order no 5 for Albert Lane .
WOW - 2 weeks in from the store opening & already have 1,078 reviews & 4.2 stars ?
No Chance !
Order: 30/12/24 13.20pm - Long wait times, substandard food, hot cold drinks & cold hot food - doesn't get any better than that👌
Today I Ordered Spicy Chicken burrito combo, with fries & a cola.
Pleasingly I actually got my order this time.
Sadly though, this was not the Mexican fiesta I was hoping & paying for , and whilst this location is new. I have now tried them on 5 separate occasions, and they have succeeded in failure on all 5 occasions.
This place is not that busy, yet seems quite disorganized as far as expediting food goes. The real obvious issue is there doesn't appear to be any real leaders actually driving the team .
If you have visited a Grilled franchise then you will know exactly what team effort looks like when there is a clear leader overseeing proceedings.
Today was much like my first where I ordered through the App, but had a very long wait, yet there only 5 other customers ordering?
Question: Where are the leaders, and where is the quality control within the Albert Lane franchise ?
The detail :
My burrito was packed with rice, the burrito itself had been torn open, yet it was just wrapped in foil anyway . As far as the spicy chicken went there was 5 tiny pieces of chicken, so clearly not even weighing the chicken to ensure you get a proportionate amount for $13.80c ?
The seasoning on the chips was flavorsome, but the chips were not even kept under a heat lamp, but instead loaded into a bag and left in the staging area to go cold ?
I even paid an extra $2 for a Jarritos Cola , my order now $21.40, yet I was given a bottle off the shelf that hadn't even been chilled ???
Should I dare to take another swing, I am going to shoot a video and upload it so the locals can see the overrated, also over priced burritos they are turning out at Albert Lane . I will even temp check the entire meal so you better understand how substandard the food actually is .
Management needs to step up and "LEAD" if they want to remain relevant , and be frequented by loyal customers for years to come.
Sadly, I have just read all the recent reviews and they are consistent with...
Read moreI visited this rest with my family at around 8pm on the 22nd of December, asked for 2 plates and a large guacamole for my daughter, two plates arrived to the table but not the guacamole, I went to the counter after a while and I could see my guacamole just in front of me, I asked to a really unfriendly lady (same that nearly threw the food in my table) and she said it wasn’t mine, another lady (a nice one, I think was the manager) came and talked to me, apologized and said she was going to do my order, a bit of misunderstanding as she was doing the whole order, I was literally yelling out to the unfriendly one to make them stop doing the whole order but she was ignoring me as she was just in front of me. When she finally turned around, I explained again that I just need the large guacamole that was just there I she finally gave it to me in a really bad way (the one that she first said wasn’t mine), took it to my table after 10min waiting in the counter, and surprise, the large guacamole, the guacamole in mine and my wife plate was hot, spicy, my daughter couldn’t eat it. We love G&G, had been in many of them, but this time was very disappointing, specially when this lady get upset for a mistake that she did, not my fault. We had to eat quick to go to another place to buy food jus for...
Read moreTL;DR Order online or come during rush hour
Flavour-wise, this joint is the better one than all the other GYGs around Brisbane.
However, since the change to 24 hours, their employees seem to rotate a lot - that or their roster is pretty big. The service has gone down esp when it's not rush hour. I've stood at the cashier for 3 full minutes until someone came and took my order, though I saw them talking among themselves in the kitchen in full view.
They got my order wrong, and when I stood at the pick-up point looking around for someone no one came. One girl looked at me, her eyes over one of the shelves, and that's about it. I considered just chucking the food out but I was pretty hungry.
Only come here when it's busy, because the staff is alert. Or order online, where what you clearly wanted is typed in and can't be misconstrued through...
