I visited Gong Cha in Brisbane City today with high expectations and excitement, only to be deeply disappointed by the experienceâparticularly due to the behavior of one female staff member.
As we placed our orders, her tone was clearly impatient and indifferent. Even when asking for the sweetness and ice level, she responded with an attitude that was rushed and unprofessional. I ordered two drinks, but she only registered one. When I tried to clarify that I had actually ordered two, she snapped back with a rude and dismissive âHuh!ââa response that left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and disrespected.
The store is relatively clean and brightly lit, but the environment was extremely noisy, making communication between customers and staff difficult. This may have contributed to the ordering confusion, but it certainly doesnât excuse rude service.
For a global brand like Gong Cha, I expect much better. This visit left me frustrated and disappointed. I walked in hoping for a cheerful moment with a favorite drink, but walked out with nothing but annoyance. I wonât be returning to this location anytime soon.
I cannot recommend this location based on todayâs visit. It turned what was supposed to be a joyful treat into a deeply...
Read moreThis is for the store manager/owner directly, this has happened more then 5 times now whenever I've ordered a fresh milk drink ( Mango latte & brown sugar fresh milk ) the milk is rotten and warm even with the ice. Reason? You'll always find the fresh milk bottle sitting at the shelf as the staff is too lazy to put it back in the fridge/chiller after using it. I'm not mentioning date or times as I don't want any trouble for the staff members but can you please train your staff to always put the fresh milk in the fridge after using it as it's summer time and milk gets rotten easily resulting in poor drink. I request you to pay a surprise visit to the store and you'll find the fresh milk outside the fridge at the bench. Secondly all the other gong chas when making fresh milk drink they put syrup some milk and stir then pour milk where as queen st branch just put the syrup and pour fresh milk on it without stirring resulting in no flavour just plain milk and bit of flavour in...

I had high hopes for Haidilao Hotpot in Sunnybank, given its global reputation. Sadly, the experience didnât live up to expectations. The restaurant was overcrowded and noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal. Service, supposedly Haidilaoâs strong point, was inconsistent â staff seemed rushed and inattentive, and no one explained how the ordering worked.
The broth lacked depth, and the meat was average at best. Vegetables looked tired, and the seafood didnât taste fresh. The sauce station was messy and poorly maintained, which raised hygiene concerns. For the steep price â over $120 for two â the quality and service were simply not worth it.
Robot servers added novelty but didnât compensate for the overall lack of care. Haidilao is supposed to be a premium experience, but this location feels like a watered-down version. For better hotpot in Brisbane, there are more authentic, affordable, and satisfying...
