Good time dining at Morning After. Coffee was delicious and food was tasty. Grabbed a soy flat white and skinny cap as usual. My skinny cap was well frothed, foamy and creamy; the espresso was slightly bitter with no acidic taste to it, which I was happy about. Food wise, we had the chicken and waffle and Rosti mozzarella cake. The chicken and waffle were massive in size. The waffle sitting at the bottom was crispy and held its shape throughout; the chicken sitting above was tender and juicy, and was infused with flavors and spices; I especially loved the roasted broccolini in between the chicken and poached eggs, which was flavorful and appetizing; the eggs were poached on point, and drenched in hollandaise sauce. As for the Roati mozzarella cake, we both really loved the pig head sausage, meaty, peppery and a bit smoky; the cake itself wasn’t that cheesy and to be honest, I didn’t really taste any mozzarella. Service wise, we thought it was great. All staff were nice, friendly, attentive and approachable. The whole experience was really smooth and organized, from the sec we walked in to the end of our brunch. The ambiance was relaxing and vibrant, but would have been better if there had been less people. We also loved the fact they had a cabinet dedicated to all sorts of treats and baked goods, which would come in handy if you are just up for a snack or quick bite. With everything taken into consideration, we are more than happy to give it 5 stars.

I was really underwhelmed and disappointed with this cafe, service was lacking and coffee was average, went cold easily and was nothing special. Unfortunately the cafe does not substitute items for dietary requirements. The cafe was very open and clean but it is hard to hold a conversation as it can become really loud. The store owner greeted me without a smile and gave me a seat at the end of a long bench. There was plenty of other seating which I would have preferred as I was needing a table for two. The staff continually walk around and it was very unsettling and off putting. Such a shame as it made the cafe seem busy and overwhelming, even though the design and aesthetic of the cafe looks great. Even though staff were around, it was hard to get their attention when needing to order. Customer service wasn't great either, staff weren't very friendly about catering to vegan options and seemed annoyed by it. The attitude of the staff was far from friendly and needs improvement. I had the avocado toast and can be made vegan without the egg. Was very fresh and delicious, herbs and spices were a great touch. Squeezing the lime on top can make the flavours a bit too much. I added a side of hash brown, was quite crisp but it was nothing outstanding and tasted similar to one from McDonalds. The coconut latte on soy was superb and had a rich taste. Overall, whilst there were some stand out meals my whole experience was disappointing and I was not relaxed or comfortable in the cafe. I would save my money and dine elsewhere.

Morning After is a fancy brunch cafe with good service. The food is also really aesthetic, but fell well short of the mark for me, especially at that price point. I ordered the salmon rosti benedict, and it looked beautiful, but the whole dish was very salty, which was okay until I ate a piece of kale near the end which tasted like pure salt. I'm definitely a fan of well-seasoned food, but this was way too much to handle. The salmon rosti was essentially a fried potato cake with tiny bits of salmon inside. It was nice and crisp, but for $26, this dish fell way off the mark. My friend ordered eggs benedict with bacon, and portion size was tiny. Another friend got a bowl of chia pudding which made her feel sick from how sweet it was and she couldn't finish half the bowl. I believe people on the other side of the table enjoyed their food, but having three disappointing dishes at a close to $30 price point is too much and I'm personally not coming back. That being said, staff were accommodating of a pram, and did ask how the food was and seemed happy to pass on comments about how salty my dish was. However, a staff member clearing the table accidentally dropped a fork on me and apologised and I said it was absolutely fine, but I did expect to maybe receive a serviette to wipe the sauce off my jumper, which didn't happen? I had to borrow a used serviette from a friend because mine had already been cleared off the table.

Third visit in fairly recent times. The biggest draw has been the food, its stands out for the variability and unique offerings on the menu. Here: The Vietnamese omelette. The pork mince was a minor component but I wouldn’t have wanted any more. The sauce was sweet, strong and heavy as you might expect but balanced by the actually good serving of vegetables - The variably and quantity was noticeable for the freshness, volume and texture that they brought. Considering this I’m pretty happy with the price, it was obviously a generous portion. There was a choice of bread or rice as the side, I kinda wish I went for the rice but the bread wasn’t bad. Just not a necessary texture or oil (being well buttered). The service is also worth mentioning; Quick, friendly and professional. Good enough appreciate in the moment. The space is varied which I like, but I’ve found it glarey in the past. The atmosphere I have very much enjoyed on all three occasions, pleasant for study, breakfast out and about or a casual lunch.

I came across Morning After by chance as I was looking for a cafe close to a specific store and I'm so glad I did! It was a great experience from start to finish. Service was attentive and friendly, absolutely faultless. The vibe of the cafe was buzzing and I loved the retro chairs. There was a bit of a wait on the food but the place was packed so that was to be expected. When the food did arrive, it was fantastic. I had the sausage and egg muffin and it was to DIE FOR! I'm not usually a breakfast person but on this particular morning I was a littlleee bit hungover so the situation called for it and the muffin hit the spot. It's now 3 weeks later and I'm still thinking about it. I was there with 3 other people and everyone else loved their food as well. Just a couple of things - it can get quite loud in there as they fit a lot of people in a small space. Also, parking can be difficult to find nearby.

Finding parking around the restaurant can be a bit of an adventure, so be prepared! When the place is buzzing, there's a vibrant atmosphere that's quite lively. By lively, I also mean noisy lol and I felt myself getting hoarse trying to converse with someone opposite me after 20 minutes. So if that’s a deal breaker for you.., consider coming during less busy times if you prefer a quieter setting. The service team is friendly and accommodating, especially when it comes to swapping ingredients. It's refreshing to find a place that's flexible without any added costs, as long as it's within the same price range. We were a group of 13 and I noticed other meals looked appetizing too. Bill splitting is allowed, which is a bonus in a group situation. Though Saturday mornings seem to be peak times, I do recommend this place and look forward to coming back, perhaps on a quieter day.
