If I could leave 0 star rating I would. Have never been treated so appallingly before in hotel/restaurant establishment and would have least expected this from a well regarded hotel brand like the Emporium. Visited for the first time with friends from out of town having read good things about this place and wanting to show our friends the best of Brisbane. Big mistake coming here.

On arrival the Maître d/Bar Manager who greeted us was so rude and insulting. On COVID sign in which were more than happy to do, QR code did not work for one of our party. We were instructed to sign in on behalf of them which we did, but the manager rudely blew up at us because she hadn’t watched both consecutive sign ins. Sounds trivial but the level rudeness and attitude displayed was insulting. If you’re having that much of a bad day don’t take it out on customers. Come on Emporium you can surely employ better more professional people than this in a customer facing front of house role.

Should have walked out at this point, but the manager, having obviously taken a disliking to our party, she then showed us to a high table with no stools. The stools had been taken by a large loud party on an over crowded table right next to us. There were multiple other free tables. I understand that some may have been reserved for customers eating, but they remained vacant the whole time we were there. Under the circumstances of our table stools being taken by other guests surely they could have made an exception. Other low tables also were available at the other end where other customers were not eating but we were not allowed to be seated.

Drinks then arrived with dirty glasses. 2 out of 4 were returned for replacement. Really expected more from an expensive establishment such as this. Beautiful location, decor and views but let down by poor staffing and management. I will be contacting Emporium to make a formal complaint.

Do yourself a favour and go to any other one of Brisbane’s fantastic bars and restaurants where you can be treated with respect and they are deserving of your...

Fantastic Mother's Day Lunch Experience at Emporium Rooftop Bar Brisbane It's not every day that you find a gem like Emporium Rooftop Bar in Brisbane. My family and I had the pleasure of celebrating Mother's Day here, and I must say, the experience left a lasting impression on us.

From the very start, the food at this trendy hotspot was nothing short of exemplary. My mouth still waters reminiscing about savouring the delightful Morton Bay Bug Roll; the perfect appetizer to lead us to our main courses. It was enticingly delicious, leaving me wanting more.

One of the highlights was my beautiful wife's choice of the eye fillet. She couldn't stop raving about it. Tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, it exceeded her expectations by far. Our daughter went for the King Prawn Salad, and the fresh ingredients and amazing flavours left a memorable mark on us. As for me, I indulged in the beef short rib, which was incredible and truly a joy to eat.

But as much as the food exceeded our expectations, there was one aspect of our experience that did fall short. Although the atmosphere was vibrant, the restaurant felt like it could use a bit of attention. A good, clean, and comprehensive refurbishment would significantly elevate the overall experience for patrons.

Finally, it's essential to mention the attentive and friendly staff. They contributed significantly to providing us with a memorable dining experience.

In conclusion, our Mother's Day lunch at Emporium Rooftop Bar Brisbane was mostly a fantastic experience that we'll gladly remember. With improved attention to detail in restaurant cleanliness and ambience, this could undoubtedly become an unmissable destination...

As I entered the restaurant, a member of staff was cleaning something behind the bar, he saw me, but didn't speak to me until he had finished his non-urgent task. He assumed I wanted a table for one, but I let him know I was here for a booking, and gave him my friend's name. He stared at the monitor, and went to get a senior member of staff (black curly hair, red lipstick ,and a black top). This lady couldn't have looked less interested if she tried. She pointed at someone's back, and said, "There she is, she got here first". Her tone was flat and condescending. I thanked her to avoid any more unpleasantness.

The food was quite nice and arrived within a reasonable time frame. The charcuterie board was good except for some stale tasting nuts. The other share dishes were fine.

There was a wide selection of drinks which was a plus.

The only member of staff who was kind and courteous to our table was Laura. She asked if we wanted to order more drinks, and kindly cleared the dishes when we were done.

Pros: One great member of staff who took care of us. The kitchen were efficient and the food was quite nice and well-presented. Good drinks menu.

Cons: Cleaning things is more important than greeting and helping customers. Senior member of staff was quite hostile, and she was equally rude the her colleague who needed her help to locate my table. The location and view couldn't make up for the attitude. Why bother having a dress code for paying customers, if you don't have basic standards of...

I dont know where to start. Im unsure if this is a tourist trap or a nouveau riche establishment. Drinks...good not great. Very weak lemon and lime bitters, a staple of any aussie bar, that they could not get right. Cocktails and alcohol based drinks so - so. Food, jesus i dont know where to begin! 1. Our dumplings came out stone cold and uncooked. I genuinely think a waiter took them from the kitchen too soon. The restaurant must half cook them and then flash them in hot water when ordered. Of course,we sent them back and upon arriving to the table only one plate was dressed properly. The other one was just plain dumplings in a bowl. 2. The duck bao, the meat itself was hard and overcooked. It was awful and like shredded cardboard, to be honest it was a waste of duck. 3. Spring rolls were dark dark brown and even burnt on the edges, completely dry in the middle. Fryer was obviously too hot or they were forgotten about. 4. Please see the photo of the tomato salad attached. For reference this handful of tomatoes is 28 dollars. I really don't need to say anything more than that Our redress: a voucher that we were told would be emailed to us. Great. We have to spend more money in this place to even get any compensation. Anyone with sense would steer away from this place. The view is good but at what cost? The service and food are terrible and the drinks....average. Do not go here! Look at the other reviews !

Had been wanting to come here for so long & last minute booked a table whilst driving pass & boy was it the best idea ever!!! Floating at the top of the Emporium Hotel in South Brisbane is this bright open & airy restaurant with the nicest view of the city! Great place for a catch up or like me, a birthday celebration! Staff were very friendly & as we were the first reservation, we were able to put our food order in early as the restaurant didn’t open till 12pm & by the time our delicious Lychee & Hibiscus cocktail arrived, our food came not long after & they were as delicious as they looked! BEST truffle fries I have had in a long while!! Portions were perfect vs price, we were the first to try the Pork Buns & as expected the pork just fell apart & was amazing! Highly recommend every dish!!! Access available for mobility vehicles & prams with amenities close by. To get here, paid parking is available in nearby carparks or on the surrounding streets. Catch any bus or the train that’s 5 mins away from the city to South Bank station - which is the closest to the venue - however, it’s only a short walk from South Brisbane train station also. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I can’t wait to come back & try the rest of the menu!
