Chapter & Verse Bar and Lounge — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

My partner and I recently dined at this restaurant, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The interior design is stunning—modern, stylish, and very inviting. My partner loved the lamp chops so much, he ordered the second portion. I ordered shrimps and was quite surprised how many of shrimp I had there. Usually when you order the dish with shrimps you’re lucky to get at least 5 of them there. At this restaurant I had more than 10 and couldn’t even finish the dish I was that full. It’s clear the chefs put a lot of thought into the menu and the quality of the ingredients.

The only area for improvement would be the service. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the service could be a bit more attentive and prompt. We went for high tea and were not disappointed. The staff were accommodating and so friendly they were making rounds frequently to make sure everyone was happy and getting what they ordered. It's been a long time since we've had an outing like that and it can be a bit daunting with a 16 month old but she seemed to enjoy it too and one of the staff at the end even packed her leftover snacks so we could take it, without being asked!!! We had the nicest high tea arrangement and probably ordered more then necessary but it was all delicious! We were full till dinner! Went to have a late lunch as our room for checking in wasn’t ready yet at the hotel, and this turned out to be a delightful little surprise. We walked in without a prior reservation and were greeted warmly by Karen, who gave us a pleasant service start to finish. The menu isn’t very extensive but is a good mix of light bites and substantial bar eats. We had the chicken baos, calamari and 2 beers. Portions were pretty good and the dishes were good. We enjoyed some lovely relaxing views overlooking the pool and dropped by again in the evening for some drinks.
