Wow! What an amazing cafe restaurant this is. The place is so beautiful and tropical and inviting. As soon as you approach the space, you're greeted with a very welcome and tropical change from the bustling city-scape. We were transported to a faraway Hawaiian island for the duration of our sitting. It was incredible. Everything was so well thought out and the attention to detail was perfect! Greenery at every corner, palm trees everywhere. The music was very fun but calm at the same time. I felt like I was in Hawaii.
The service is so friendly and welcoming and inviting. They go above and beyond to make sure you're having a good time and feel comfortable. The seating is all outdoor and very spacious and very comfortable. You have multiple options to choose from like comfy couches, high chairs and regular tables.
The food ! Wow. The Acai bowl!! Honestly the best acai bowl I've had in my visit to Queensland so far. I would come back just for the acai bowl! The burgers and wraps were also very delicious and fresh and flavourful. The freshly squeezed juice was very fresh and delicious.
A nice little tropical hideaway in the city with amazing food, incredible ambience and delightful service. Definitely give this place a visit if you're...
Read moreThis café, is a 30m walk to the left of the Wax Museum. As it is away from all the other eateries, it is a much more pleasant place to have lunch. We were quite surprised that it was empty except for a couple of takeaways and one family who were leaving as we arrived - so this review is a little biased.
It was a very hot day yesterday but sitting in this place with the windows all open, there was a wonderful breeze that really made it pleasant.
The only thing that spoilt the atmosphere a tad was the music was only for one genre (young) and was only just under the loud range but we could still talk easily. Guess I'm getting old 🤭 The traffic didn't bother us at all.
Two of us ordered fish 'n' chips that were delicious, and the other two had the club sandwich, which came with a small basket of broken up waffle potatoes. Our chips for the fish were unbroken and really delicious! Not having them before made it a pleasant experience.
The person who served us was quiet, unobtrusive and added to the atmosphere of calm and natural. So different to what I am used to and very nice to experience.
So give O'hana's Café & Bar a go; it really does deserve your patronage and you won't be...
Read moreHorrible experience. Was very understaffed which i can sympathise with, however was told 10-15 minutes wait for inedible food which took over half an hour. I don't mind waiting - accurate estimates would be appreciated. It was even more upsetting to get a burger that was practically raw after waiting so long, blood and fat had literally soaked the bottom bun to the point it was wet, there was jalepenos on a cheeseburger (not listed on menu). The serve of chips was tiny. There was also multiple small hairs on chips and on the burger bun that I discovered while trying to eat my meal. Will not be returning. Had okay coffee. If i knew it would have taken so long from the get go (especially for the lack of care and quality in the food also) I would not...
