Read moreI have been coming here for almost 20 years and well my whole life, with my parents coming here longer than that. What can I say but the food is consistently fantastic and authentic. With the lunch bentos being a staple memory of this restaurant for me. Coming here with my dad when I was small and having a karaage bento for lunch, man those were the days. I highly recommend the karaage lunch bento, the cheese spring rolls, which have my brother and I hooked on it as they are just unbelievable good, the pork gyoza, with my brother saying its the favourite hes had, even with us travelling to Japan before and various other countries, ten-zaru soba, just a classic and authentic japanese meal, and the teriyaki chicken, I have had teriyaki chicken at many different establishments, however this is quite unique flavour wise and is this just phenomenal.
Service here is fast, friendly, and generally just great.

Read moreAccommodating staff were pleasant but the food was unjustifiably overpriced for the meager serving portions. The "large" sashimi platter cost $48 and had the same portion size of a small sashimi platter half the price that can be found at most other Japanese restaurants. It was literally just 3x slices of the standard fare (kingfish, tuna, salmon) 2 of the skinniest prawns I've ever been served, 1 scallop cut into 3 thin slices, 2 octopus slices, and thimble sized servings of cuttlefish and wasabi tako. Further disappointed by cheap fillers such as seaweed and tamagoyaki. The platter was a huge let down I was looking forward to filling up on good sashimi after a long day... I left still hungry.
Also, they charge $2 for literally the smallest amount (around the same size of a 50c coin) of pickled vegetables which seems ridiculous as at other establishments larger amounts are often served with dishes for free.
I don't know if they ran out of sashimi but I deeply regret wasting my money as I know there are other places in the area that do much bigger...
