Boba House — Restaurant in Launceston

I’ve been a regular customer at this store for the past five years and have really enjoyed watching it grow. Over the past year, I've noticed a few changes as ownership has shifted. My favorite Taiwanese large fried chicken has gone through several adjustments—starting from thin and large, to thick and small, and now it’s thin and small. It also used to be quite juicy, but lately it’s become noticeably drier.

While I understand that prices have increased over time (from just over $8 to more than $13), I do hope the portion size and overall quality can be brought back to the level they once were.

The fries used to be one of the highlights—crispy and flavorful—but they now often taste dry, almost like they've been left out too long. I used to stop by not only for the fried food but also for the milk tea, which made it a nice one-stop treat.

I’m still hopeful that things can improve, as this place used to be one of my go-to spots. I’d love to continue supporting it if the quality returns to what...

I wasn't hungry and I needed to be on the road back to Hobart but on the 2ay back to the car I came across Boba House and I had to myself a Korean hot dog. The cook to care wrapping the hot dog in batter, gently rolling it around. Then he stood over the fryer watching it cook making sure it was doing ok. The result is you get a freshly and catefully made Korean hot dog. There is a short wait but it is worth it. I've only had Korean hot dogs once before, in Melbourne. Tge Korean hot dog from Boba House in Launceston was way better than that Korean hot dog I had in Melbourne. The onky negative - I was worried about the stick it was served on. It felt very flimsy and I was afraid it would break; fortunately it was also served in a cup for easy carrying. Excellent...

The worst customer service ever. The restaurant in the same shop had closed down and we went to the shop and asked the boba house staff if they had any food. The man in the front is the most unprofessional and rude person. He yelled at us saying why we were looking for food at a Boba shop. We didn’t realize the restaurant that shared their shop had closed down and he was rude towards us. He was loud and terrible towards us. He could have said the same thing nicely but didn’t and just was taking his frustration out on us. The boba does not taste good...
