Subway Dandenong — Restaurant in Melbourne

The lady who works at the Dandenong subway on princess highway, should not be working anywhere in service! I think her name is Lisa (Indian or Sri Lankan may be - and NO I’m not being racist . I’m Indian myself)

I have personally experienced being treated quite rudely a couple of times, not to mention, the way the salad gets tossed into the bowl, like it were dog food. But for a couples years now, my 40+ old self, has hoped against hope to see the good in a fellow human being. But what I witnessed her do and say today to a teenage girl (child), deserves to be called out.

This girl who was there before me at the counter was probably 14-15 years old max. The lady/ staff seemly focused - in somewhat of an annoyed manner - on the order that she was preparing, and just kept ignoring the girl’s mild mannered ‘excuse me’ a couple of times. It’s not like she didn’t hear or realise, cause there were only two customers - the teen girl and myself. Behind the counter I was being served by another teen girl, while this poor girl was trying to get her attention to ask the lady something. And when the girl’s ‘ excuse me’ grew slightly louder to get the staffs attention, without even lifting her head to look at her, the woman snapped back point to the corner of the room with these words;

“Your’s is a BIG order. You need to stand back there and wait!” (Pointing to the corner of the store)

This girl looked so intimidated that she just quietly backed off.

I felt so bad for her (and in hindsight should have spoken up right there). But I was equally shocked at the exchange. As this was happening I’m also noticing how welted and awful the veggies being loaded up on my sub was looking and complained thrice, to see if I get the attention of the adult behind the counter. Zilch again - just ignored it, head down, like she didn’t hear a thing . I looked back at the teen who was serving me. She looked equally terrified. She seemed scared to even as this lady where the meatballs were left’ to prepare my order.

I couldn’t care less about the quality of the food. But this person doesn’t seem fit to be in any job that involves being...

Today I took 2 foot long veggie patty, I found hair in one the foot long when iam nearly finishing, I called to that place, old lady answered the phone, told it will happen time to time,if u want u can get one free. When I went there she asked for remaining food, since it was nearly done,nothing was there, she rudely scrabled the cover, asked where is it..
