I came here for happy hour with my family—myself and four others. The place was completely empty, and I mean completely.
When we arrived, we were told the taps weren’t working. That meant no beers, no cocktails. Made us feel like it was our fault the taps weren’t working. We’d already looked at the menu beforehand and knew exactly which cocktails we wanted—we came prepared, lol! So hearing this threw us off. We had to quickly rethink and choose new drinks, which took a moment.
The bartender, however, was short-tempered and snappy—not to mention totally unhelpful.
Thankfully, there were still two cocktails available: a daiquiri and a Tommy’s margarita. We asked for a daiquiri and said, “What flavours do they come in?” His charming response: “I’m not gonna name all the flavours I can make you—just choose one.”
So we said, “Okay… how about watermelon?” He replied, “We don’t have that flavour.”
Which meant, surprise—he did have to list the flavours for us anyway. Lmao.
We also ordered two Tommy margaritas. When they finally arrived, the pour levels were all over the place—one was nearly full, the other barely half a glass. I could go on about the rest of this interaction, but I think you get the picture.
So, to the guy with the bright red hair working on Wednesday the 28th: maybe consider a career outside of hospitality.
Also—your poor trainee. If they’re learning from you, they’re only picking up bad habits and...
Read moreGreat food, cocktails and atmosphere. One of the bartenders (short blonde hair with short shorts) wasn’t very nice or friendly.
First encounter I was at the bar with a friend who verbally said they didn’t know what their partner wanted. At approx 8pm. This bartender turned around advising “I can’t be serving drinks for someone else” and refused service. I understand if it was a tequila shot or something but a mid strength tap drink that was included on tab for a work event identifiable by the wrist bands we were wearing? I’m not educated with law and legislation around this but if it was a problem it could’ve been delivered a lot nicer. If it was a law/legislation issue this is also kinda debunked if you ordered a jug for a group which is on the menu?
Second encounter I ordered myself a cocktail after the tab had ran out at around 10pm. “This is your last one yeah? You guys have been here a while”. Our booking was 7-11:30 and we were there for a work Christmas party that around 15 people attended? I was by no means sloshed or stumbling so I’m not sure if I was being cut off or they wanted the group out? Either way pretty bitter.
It’s a shame, the rest of the staff were great but this one had no interest in delivering any level of basic service and in my opinion encouraged a...
