Went to double tree restaurant as I usually do, I’ve been here multiple times and never had an issue. However tonight I am appalled. Firstly when we walked in we were asked for our vaccines as usual, we showed them as we have them. Two of our friends walked in 5 minutes after us and didn’t believe their proof of vaccine even though they had the exact same vaccine in their Apple wallet as we do. The lady was being very rude to our friends but eventually let them in. After this we ordered our drinks and asked for 4 mazcale Tommy’s margaritas. They said they don’t have mazcale and we said just 4 Tommy’s margaritas. A Tommy’s margarita shouldn’t have triple sec in it however we watched them as they put triple sec in them. We awkwardly sat at the bar while they made our drinks, we wanted to go sit down but they didn’t offer it. The manager came over and we asked if we could go sit and they bring our cocktails to us. The manager said yes of course and we sat down. After our first round of cocktails I went up to order more. This time I ordered 3 French martinis, after I ordered I got a water and went to sit back down, the male bartenders fine with this. When our drinks came the girl wearing the dinosaur earrings came and gave us 3 espresso martinis, as bartenders ourselves we are appalled with the knowledge of cocktails here as we expected French martinis and received espresso martinis. Not only that but as she gave us our cocktails she made a rude comment in a rude tone telling us next time to wait at the bar for our cocktails. I don’t understand since the manager told us we were fine to sit down and wait and since it wasn’t busy at all. Over all the girl with the pigtails and dinosaur earrings has no knowledge and was extremely rude to us. Completely disappointed in this experience as this is a usual bar for us and we usually have a good time. I guess it’s an alright place to go if you don’t order cocktails and are old. If you are younger and order cocktails they will be rude and make your drinks...
Read moreI visited on 10. September 2022 in the evening and I was impressed with location of the restaurant, spot for drop off and pick up, wheelchair access ramp and quick travel up by lift. The vibe I felt upon entry was welcoming and friendly, I almost felt like I was in local pub. Order and pay for your own drinks and meals at the bar and take it with you. No fuss. Friendly staff was taking away empty dishes as soon we finished eating or drinking. With my friends, I enjoyed to the fullest the magnificent view over my beloved City during the sunset and at night. So, I took lots of pictures. Seeing empty dishes of my friends, I suspect that food was delicious as well (perhaps some additional spices were not up to the taste and were left behind). Unfortunately, due to my disability I was not able to sit comfortably on the sofa with my friends, so I didn't order food (I should've come with my gopher). Because of my disability I was allowed to use bar chair, and sit next to my friends and in good atmosphere I said that I feel like 70s comedian Dave Allen (unfortunately I didn't have any jokes to tell 😃). My Eagle Eye from such high up position noticed food and drinks at other tables looked the same as on the pictures on Facebook or from other reviewers, so everything was as expected and advertised (and empty in the end 😃). Live music was good and loud enough to be heard and quiet enough for young couples romancing, as this is wonderful place for it. Weather was perfect, and little bit to cold for me to sit outside, but no hospitality venue or it's management can be held responsible for that. I recommend this place and I am looking forward to visit again with the same or some other...
Read moreCame for a function this Saturday night. Daniel, the Bar Supervisor was condescending and needs some bar training to be supervising a bar. The casual bartenders were extremely polite and were able to take our drink orders with ease with efficient service! What we expect at a nice venue. My brother ordered an old fashioned. Daniel didn’t use bitters, he squeezed orange in it and no orange bitters. He didn’t use a jigger, he just poured straight out of the bottle (thanks but we would’ve just ordered shots if that’s what we wanted to taste). No garnish and not even ice in the glass!!! A giant glass (over diluted and over poured clearly) full of water and booze. I then began to ask for the Berry Bliss mock-tail, with soda instead of cream (can’t have dairy) and a shot of vodka in it. We were trying to use the tab, I was happy to pay for both. This was extremely hard for Daniel to understand and instead of letting me finish speaking and actually order, he continuously spoke over top of top of me and then proceeded to give me a crash course on what a cocktail is. Thank you Daniel. I think you are in need of the crash course. I got frustrated with the ordeal of even trying to get my order out and I gave up and told him not to worry about it. I went to a different bartender and got the same drink I asked for straight away, with ease, efficiency and a smile! The space was lovely and the views were immaculate. The rude interaction with the supervisor and the quality of his cocktail “crafting” was the only damper on my night. Everything and everyone...
