I support small biz. But my friend who bought cake from this shop had negative experience from the owner twice (both fb messenger and face to face recently), therefore it is time to post this for public assessment though it happened months ago. My friend bought this cake for another friend’s birthday. It looks perfectly normal on the outside but as we finished the cake we found a badly rotten strawberry. When the owner was contacted via messenger, not a single apology was given. Conversely the owner defensively asked why didn’t she contacted the shop immediately? (Fair comment since my friend should have reported to authorities initially.). The owner also gave my friend a valuable lesson : “next time when you purchase cake from any shop, you should check before you leave the counter”. Lesson learnt people, pick up all the fruits to check the next time you purchase a cake. As a good gesture the owner also offered a generous 20% discount for my friends’s next purchase. Not only did they sell an unsafe product, they managed to turn the blame to the customers. Will never return...

Products there are delicious but the customer service was a very big let down. We got charged more than we actually needed to, which I had no problem with at all. However, the way they handled the situation was a big no for me. They had no patience with solving the situation at all and found ways to blame it on their customers. I have no issues in regards to money, but with the workers there and how they treat their customers. They have no shame encouraging us to report them. The job of being a cashier is to get along with their customers as well but they don't match that at all. I would give them 4 to 5 stars if it weren't for the customer service and their disrespectful behaviour. After reading other 1 star reviews from other customers, majority of them were due to customer service and their attitudes still have not changed. Absolutely superb quality goods and the service by staff is something most businesses lack these days I went there recently to buy a few light snacks but with the range of freshly baked items on offer that idea quickly went out the window. In the end I walked out with a veritably large range of wholesome, nutritious and delightfuly tasty baked items and a couple of the treats on offer I selected enter the * melt in your mouth * range of fresh food they were that good. I am definitely going back for more because of the highly enticing aroma of fresh baked goodness coming from the shop even though I was a good 50 meters away and on a scale of 1 to 10 ( 10 being the highest possible score ) I would personally rate * Breadtop Barrack Street Perth * a solid 10 / 10 easily !
