Double Rainbow Bar and Eating House at The Rechabite is a magical gem in Perth.
Have you ever experience one of those days that you felt like "my night is runined and I just want to go home"? I am glad that I tried my luck to call up this magical place to salvage my night. Little did I know, it became the best night of my life.
From the moment we entered the restaurant, Jorge was so patient to understand the situation and was able to sprinkle his magic dust for us to enjoy at the bar area while waiting for a table for dinner. He went above and beyond to make it work for a busy Saturday night. His patience and his smile confirmed that I had made the right decision to come here.
The bar crew was fantastic which pumped out delicious drinks non-stop while we were enjoying great drinks with the delicious edamame and dumplings.
Then, we got blown away by the floor staff Mandy and Josh. They were absolute professional in customer service. The attention to detail is so rare to find in WA. From water bottle being replaced almost the moment it went empty, to the meticulous way to wipe down the table properly to the perfectly polished cultery and glassware to the lovely and playful style of servicing. I would give six stars if it's possible.
And of course, the food. Check out the photo with the epic food. So many times I felt my vegetarian friends being left out because of the limited options. Double Rainbow on the other hand, the kitchen is a magical kingdom. There were so many delicious vegetarian dishes that we all absolutely adored. The mushroom fried rice is a must try and I will definitely be back. We ate so many dishes, yet I can't pick a bone with any of them.
I highly recommend this restaurant. You will have a wonderful experience and being spoilt with great drinks, great food and great people. Well...

Read moreThis was my fourth time dining at Double Rainbow, and I’ve always enjoyed the food here. This visit was my first time bringing friends who hadn’t tried it before, and while the food remained excellent, the service unfortunately fell short. We were greeted by a disinterested host who initially led us to a three-seater table—despite our booking for four. We were then moved to a proper table, but told that due to a booking system issue, we would only have 60 minutes instead of the usual 90. When I mentioned that my booking confirmation said 90 minutes, the response was a half-hearted “there’s nothing I can do,” with no real apology. That interaction set a negative tone for the rest of our meal. Our drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive, and only after we followed up did another staff member explain there was an issue with the receipt at the bar—another system issue. Still, we appreciated the explanation. Thankfully, the food was the saving grace. The wagyu steak was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the prawn wontons and triple-cooked potatoes were as great as ever. I wasn’t a fan of the new stuffed chicken wing (texture just didn’t work for me), and the potato galette was a split opinion—unusual, I enjoyed it, but my partner didn’t. Unfortunately, just as our final dish arrived, another staff member reminded us we had 15 minutes left—essentially rushing us. Before we had a chance to consider dessert, the bill was dropped without being asked for, and we were told the table was needed. We paid and left feeling unwelcome. I completely understand that system issues happen—but it’s how staff handle them that matters. On this visit, the handling felt indifferent and dismissive, which was disappointing for a restaurant that usually delivers such a...
