I debated whether to give this place 4 or 5 stars.
The food is absolutely 5 star quality. The burger I had was delicious. Dripping with sauce, and the flavour of the patty was amazing. You could tell everything was fresh.
The chips are great and are a rare instance for me personally where they don't seem to need sauce, although we ordered sauces and the Jalapeno and Siracha sauces were terrific.
The redskin shake was as tasty as ever.
Here you'll find a legitimate, quality burger and shake experience.
So why not 5 stars if I'm so hot for the food?
It comes down to price and time. This was my third time here, and the third time I felt like it just took too long to get my food. Absolutely quality takes time, but still it felt like it all took a little too long. It wasn't outrageous this time around, but still, you're in the city, you kind of want to get your food and get out.
As for the price, it's just a bit much. They're in a good spot and rent ain't gonna be cheap. The ingredients aren't either I'm sure, but $58.5 for two burgers, two shakes and a large chips? And we didn't even get the most expensive burgers. It's not so pricey it will deter me, but it still stings.
Anyway if you've read this far, absolutely give the place a go. It's definitely worth going again and again, but the time and price just shaved off the fifth star from what was still a great food experience.

There are only a few things in life that can disappoint me more than once, yet have me return with a jaded sense of enthusiasm. Tinder being one, Short order being the other.
Their burger selection and meat game is strong, consistent and always on point. The selection of ingredients in each burger truly meat together (pun intended) to form a strong polyamorous connection where nobody feels left out.
However,
On more than one occasion I've been greeted with a stale bun that is unable to hold the violent lust the ingredients have together. To watch the bun flake and fall away like most of the relationships I’ve had is disappointing to say the least. This seems to be an end of the week type vibe, The life of the bun comes to an end and is served to me like a slap in the face.
The bun holds together the entire dance. If its lackin, the burger...
Read moreHad a single Short Order Burger for lunch on a weekday. Went in early around 11, as I have noticed the place is always very busy at lunch time.
The burger tasted okay - had a home made feel to it, which I would say is the only good thing about it. The cheese looked like the cheap cheese slice and the burger was flattened out so much that there’s no more juice left in the meat.
My main reason for marking only 2 stars is - I had stomach upset in the afternoon. Considering, this burger and a canned drink is all I had that day until then - I’m quite sure it must have been the burger.
But happy to still give a benefit of doubt and therefore 2 instead of 1. Mistakes can happen - however please ensure to be pleasant and happy to the customers - rather than showing the worry of upcoming onslaught of orders...
