I ordered to pick up. No banner no plate to say where the entry is. Called the restaurant only to be told to ring a buzzer, which was hard to locate and under grand canyonname.as drove my bike I slipped twice while talking to them as I explained that the function hall under the Grand canyon banner was open and I got confused if that's where I needed to go but noone was inside. After locating the buzzer the person who spoke could not understand my name twice and all she said was :What what! I called the number again and requested the lady to give my order and shared my name. After a bit I see a lady who came to the door and gave an answer that your order was being packed. I was intimated my order was ready ten minutes ago and by then I was upset that my food must have gone cold and soggy. I wanted to share my feedback with the lady that what what does not tells me "thank you we are bring your order, Please wait". All in all the buzzer was just the cherry on ice. Coming to the food- I ordered chicken kebab which had just saffron colour and it had no flavour or salt. Peri peri sauce was not peri peri but just chilli sauce. Fried Lebanese bread was plain and there was no dukkhah or spice sprinkled on it. Not at all a great experience 😕. I feel Terrible to give such critical feedback but in service industry we all need to stay competitive. I have had food in Sahara before on the same street and would go...
Read moreWe went to have breakfast at this cafe on a weekend morning. The cafe looks nice and has nice appeal. The tables within the booths out the back are made of doors. The seats (in the booths) are just planks of wood put together and not real comfortable to sit on. The waitress was lovely but didnt know what parmesan was when one of my friends asked to add parmesan on meal. First meal came out, and the eggs were cold. Second and third meal came out next (about 5minutes later) and the bread on one of these had mould on it. Yes they did replace it and the waitress apologised (at the table). The fourth meal came out another 5 (or longer) minutes later. So everyone ate their meal at different time. All meals should come out together or within minute of each other, so the chef needs to time these up. When paying, there was no further apology about mouldy bread etc. So, yeah, message from all those in that group....we wont be...
Read moreTo be honest this was our third time of trying the Terrace Cafe out for lunch, and yet again we were disappointed. There was way too many things to mention that went wrong from my drink having a layer of chai mix sitting on the bottom of my cup not mixed in, to a schnitzel and chips lunch special taking 40 mins to cook - then asking for it take away to receive a schnitzel sandwich with no chips. Notable disappointments from the past; dip tasting like detergent, food taking way too long to come out, forgetting things which was meant to come out, receiving the complete wrong food requests when ordered ahead of time. Actually, this was our fourth time of disappointment. We have been fooled too many times and had trust in the place had changed. Fail. Also not sure what their facebook is on about with it being a 'Arts/Humanities Website' it's very convenient you can't write...
