Ate here for lunch on a Sunday. I rang ahead and asked if they are dog friendly which they replied yes we cater for pets.

Walked in for lunch with my dog. Was greeted by a some individuals working for a good cause looking after some orphan kittens trying to find a home for them in the pub. However one individual was a bit too passionate and had their judgement clouded and opened their mouth without thinking.

This individual approached me and said "Ow your dog looks so thirsty, where is it's water"? Me - "I don't have any with me, usally dog friendly pubs have them around" Crazy lady - "I can't believe people expect other people to look after their dogs, you should have water on you" Me - I smiled at her and said thankyou so much for your input and I walked off.

Little did she know my dog was given water before our 10 minute drive to the venue.

We ordered the smashed burger, cheese burger, corn ribs and Nachos. The only item that was good was the corn ribs and sauce. The cheeseburger tasted a little nice however had no texture. It was mush. It needs fresh onions and pickels. The Nachos were shocking, couldn't finish them.

On our departure the old crazy cat lady yelled out "nice to meet you and I hope to see you next week".

The management of this establishment should consider who they let use their space as it defaces its reputation.

Staff are always lovely, and today was no different.

The food however was not acceptable in my opinion. The pesto looked microwaved, not fresh at all. The sun-dried tomatoes on top of the pasta should be more correctly referred to as sun burnt! They were insanely chewy and hard, with no taste. They also covered the entire dish so were impossible to avoid. The loaded cheezeburger chips tasted like petrol- the cheeze sauce was sickening. enough said.

The tacos were great though, as per usual!!! I really appreciate this place for its atmosphere and catering towards plant based individuals, but I do think, for the prices, the standard of the food needs to be improved.

EDIT: Hey just editing my review to say that a business lying on the internet is not a good look, nothing that you replied to me happened!! No one talked to me about my meal, no one offered me a refund, nor did I receive one. Regarding the refund you must be confusing me with someone else who has complained about the quality of the food :) I agree that leaving a less than positive review for a business is 'unfair' when they have tried their best to remedy it– unfortunately you have not....

Well this needs an update, doesn't it? What was Comedy on Edge is now the edgier Sticks and Stones open mic comedy night of a Wednesday. Home to the phenomenal ginger haired guru with the sunglasses on - perhaps the funniest thing I've ever seen, perhaps not? The beer is good, the atmosphere is friendly if a little rowdy. I can't help but think I did exactly this last time. Bartend polite and didn't call me buddy, Sat near an Irish fellow who was having an egregious time with his ex wife and their child "She doesn't need a psychologist!" My mate didn't show up, I forgot to sign up, there was one heckler in the crowd hellbent on shouting at all comers and one fellow - that one fellow who sounded like a seasoned professional but looked barely 20 and claimed he was here from the states for 3 months and was studying communication. It's a clever ruse but isn't that the point of comedy? T'anyway, plenty of Zen in the room, whether the crowd knew it or not. WiFi....

So proud of The Chippo for taking on Sydney's newest vegan pub! 🌱🍻🤤 The atmosphere of the place is great. There's a cute "outdoor" area to sit with your pooch, or you can enjoy the pub vibe by sitting inside (the AFL was on the telly, so of course that's where the husband chose to sit with his beer)! If you venture outside, you can even grab some marshmallows to roast over the fire pit! 🍺🔥 The menu has all your classic pub feeds, but also some fun, creative dishes hidden in there (you should check out their "Boozy Foods" section). It was my first time trying a Blooming Onion (divine, by the way), and I also feasted on some battered fish tacos (10/10). As we came on a Sunday, the husband tried the Sunday Roast, and loved it. The portion sizes were huge, and Mama B's team nailed it of course (if anyone remembers The Green Lion days, the food is potentially even better)! 🧅🌮🥔 I'm so excited the vegan community of Sydney has a pub again! 🥰
