This restaurant has a good location near the river, which is handy if your catching the ferry. There's a nice view if your sitting outside. However, there hasn't been much attention to creating a nice outdoor dining area. It's just plastic chair and metal tables on the concrete. Inside they have hung a pictures of the food that they serve. They all have a 'cook suck' or 'taken with flash' feel about them. It's not a good representation of what is being served. When we arrived the place was less than half full, but the women serving seemed run off her feet. I think that it might only have been her and the chef trying to get all the orders taken and meals served. They really needed another person. Though our orders didn't take too long, each dish came out at different time, which was a bit osd. There were people a number of getting served after us, even though they had arrived before us. The meals were ok. The teriyaki chicken was very sweet, and the Nori rolls really looked like they had been slapped together with out much thought of presentation. The edamame beans were a bit old and under seasoned. The tempura batter was ok, but there was a hair in one of the pieces of tempura potato. The salmon and tuna sashimi was awesome though. So soft and silky. That was amazing. So, there were some good bits. They have EFTPOS, but only for orders over $30. They also sell beer and wine and you can BYO.

I’ve walked past the sign so many times and wondered what it’s like. Surprisingly really good food. It’s a husband and wife operation. The food was delicious. Lots of flavour. It felt like honest cooking. Nothing fancy or over the top with presentation that some of these types of places usually go for. Some of the sauces the chef uses even in the basic salad they serve is to die for. Yes the opening hours can be hit and miss. But you also have to realise parramatta is a construction zone right now and it is affecting businesses everywhere so cut them some slack. I look forward in returning again soon.

So Rude to a regular customer. Waiting to order, then told by the older boss lady, no sorry you can't order "large booking coming". Can I eat-in? "No" Can I takeaway? "No" What terrible manners! If I did not have Korean friends, I would expect this is how Korean restaurants treated customers when busy. However, great Korean & Japanese food, quick, tasty and light on my pocket, just like the City. Better than Asadal around the corner and much cheaper. Also you don't get any tasty side dishes if you takeaway, so eat in.

We have been here many times with my husband and we love it. Whatever we had was perfect! The fish chilli hot pot is very similar to our traditional fish soup (Hungarian), hence we ordered it for Xmas dinner and all of our friends liked it very much. We have tried chilli octopus 🐙, chilli squids, chicken katsu, etc. I highly recommend to everyone to try! If someone expects that the BBQ will be same Australian style of BBQ, well what I can say, really? No, it won't and don't expect such a silly things at all. We had no issues with the service, the lady is nice and we had everything we needed. I have seen reviews criticising the service, but please note again, it is a Korean- Japanese restaurant with their culture. They are nice people but they won't go to your table asking you 1000 of times if everything is okay. Which is perfect for me. If you need to be pleased on such a way, this is not your place to go. If you are really interested in food and getting the same quality over and over again and want to try something different you will like this place. It is a great family operated place, they are genuinely nice people and not because they are paid for being nice like waitresses anywhere else. We found pricing very reasonable. Usually we pay about $50 for two people having a massive portion of fish hot pot (to share), and two main dishes, a bottle of water and a bottle of beer. We go there to enjoy our meal not for sitting there for hours. Location is also good, it is undercovered and facing to the Parramatta Wharf). You can catch parking spot around. Overall, it is very nice place to go, nice food and friendly staff and reasonable price. (PS: not really English speakers, but I don't go there to...

My favourite place to eat in Parramatta. It's a family run place with authentic Japanese food. I have been coming here for years and always had great service and EXCELLENT sashimi. It is also family friendly, and the couple that run the place create a very welcoming atmosphere.

The only reason I have subtracted a star is that there aren't many options for vegetarians. After going vegetarian earlier this year I was struggling to find something to eat here. It's a shame because I prefer Japanese cuisine over Thai and Chinese food, however it is quite difficult to find Japanese restaurants that cater to a vegetarian diet.

This is the perfect place to come for a classy but casual atmosphere. You could dress up or wear jeans without being out of place.

Omnivores: I highly recommend the sashimi boats, (they do fish very well here, and it has always been of noticeably higher quality than many places.) you will not regret it. If you can afford some plum or raspberry wine to go with the boats-you have just created a luxury feast!

If you like chili the chili fish hot pot is delicious, but some may find the flavor overwhelming. If you don't handle spice well you probably won't taste the fish at all. My girlfriend loves the hot pots here.

The Takoyaki and Gyoza are also delicious entrees.

The Tokyo dinner courses are amazing, and you get a little bit of everything like a bento box (but better!)

Vegetarians: You could happily eat here 1-2x and make a meal out of various side dishes, cucumber rolls and vegetable tempura. After that you will run out of variety.

Overall a highly...
