My staff attended with a person in a wheelchair. Bouncer refused entry because the participant was in a wheelchair, and a patron in the line said 'how are you even going to dance, you're in a wheelchair'. Bouncer let others in past ignoring us. Bouncer refused to speak to us or provide access. People with disability are so used to be treated like second class citizens. People with disability need attitudes to change! PwD like to go to restaurants, pubs, clubs, on holidays, and socialise just like 'normal' people, and on this occasion, we were discriminated against. Read moreI visited Beav’s Bar on June 15th/25 and was aggressively mistreated by the security guard at the door. He appeared intoxicated, couldn’t speak clearly, and suddenly started yelling and swearing at me and my partner without reason. When we tried to clarify the situation, he physically pushed me in the chest, knocking my documents to the ground, and called us offensive names.
Other staff ignored our calls for help. The security manager apologized but refused to provide the guard’s name and said the cameras didn’t show things clearly.

Read moreAsked for a pint of a certain tap beer - it was my first beverage at the venue. They started pouring a cider. Tried to correct the (as it turns out) venue manager. They argued. Quite angrily and assertively. They attested that there was nobody above them (in the command chain). I left. They followed me into the street.

They shouted more about my drink order. After they went inside I spoke to the security person. They said “they’re the boss I can’t do anything”. I left the area in a hurry.
I’ll probably be back because my friends are delicious but basic.
