We have been at dinner yesterday night. The entrance hall was elegantly decorated, toilets were clean and had supplies. At the entrance we were met by young lady cashier, who was friendly and gentleman who greeted us in very friendly manner, speaking very good English. I guessed he was in charge , because later he kept coming and asking if everything is ok, after we been seated. It’s our second visit to this concert dinner. The musicians and singers did their best . Very young female singer and male singer pleased us with their performances. The only thing I noticed , they didn’t wear wigs, which would complete their costumes very nicely . One of cello players had black sports shoes . The musicians also didn’t wear wigs. It used to be different 11 years ago. Then they all wore wigs, nice costumes and shoes that suited those clothes . I pay close attention to details . If they making show, they should wear full costumes , because actors and singers in real opera wouldn’t do that , ho on stage with sports shoes and without wigs . Food wasn’t great . Soup with two Knödel, which is favorite by mostly German speaking nations is not so favored by Americans or other tourists from other parts of the world. As main dish we were served chicken thigh with polenta and some carrots. Also didn’t look very appealing. The knife wasn’t sharp to cut chicken , so I struggled, because our table was wobbly and I was afraid if I push knife harder that table will triple down . I am not a Fan of polenta , do I ate only chicken.then came dessert , it tasted like sugar blended into foam and to make it look better they flamed it brown on top . I think, 11 years ago we ate the same dessert. But it was very big portion, baked in oven, so it was really crispy . I couldn’t eat dessert . Overall, it worth to go to concert dinner, just to enjoy music and opera, but the food was real fiasco. They should change their menu completely. The personnel were really nice, friendly . Our waiter Patric spoke with some mannerisms, in good English , but I guessed he can’t speak German, although my man said he is German, Patric kept speaking English. But he was pleasant . I found bag in toilet , gave it to gentleman in suit, who was in charge, he came later to table to tell that lady came for her bag...

It was a big disappointment. First of all, you have to seat on the table for 5-10 people with people which you do not know. No privacy at all and the feeling like eating in the canteen. It would be much better to have tables for 2-4 people and to provide people in advance with a possibility to chose and to reserve a table where they want to seat. Secondly, if you were unlucky and you got one of the last tables you will hear and see only the backs of people who seat in front of you and the waiters will always go behind your back and around in order to serve other people. Because of an open door behind us, it was a draft so we were sitting in the coat. The food was ok but absolutely nothing special. The portions are very small. Also, every dish was almost cold. The wine is EXTREMELY expensive. They offer a glass of wine (0,125 ml) for EUR 20-40. It is an incredible price in Austria which is a country with high wine culture where there are thousands of excellent wine with a price for 6-10 EUR pro bottle. The waiters were slow and you have to wait for your food long time. A person in the entrance who checked the tickets was unprofessional and very unattentive. He does not care about people at all and doing his work just automatically. Also, we have been waiting for about 10 minutes in front of the room until he came. The music was good and singers were professional. It was only one good thing. In general, our evening was destroyed. I did regret that I have paid so much money and went there. They try to get the room packed with as many people as possible and at the end of the day, you will seat somewhere with other people and will be waiting for your cold food long. To sum up, this is an event for tourists who are ready to pay crazy money for such artificial event without any...

We thoroughly enjoyed our Mozart dinner concert in July of 2022. The room is very intimate so if you opt for one of the lesser expensive seating options I think you will enjoy the performance just as much as those who pay for the higher tier seating. That being said, had a family of 6 (children ages 13-20) and did pay for seating closer to the stage. For those of you with younger children, I would say that the family with the front-row seating had a toddler with them. While there were moments when the toddler was a slight distraction to us the performers were very professional and did not skip a beat. I would encourage you to bring your toddlers and experience the blessing of Mozart and these fantastic musicians and vocalists. The food served was good...I think the price-quality was reasonable. There is the opportunity to order additional bottles of wine and the servers were very responsive related to this. The music selections were great and some of the most popular Mozart pieces...which were a real treat. The sequence was that the performers (musicians and vocalist) performed 3-4 times throughout the evening...so things were broken up between dinner courses. As a side note, I noticed that there seemed to be an exclusive experience/option alongside the regular dinner performance we enjoyed. There was a separate room from the main dining/performance program where people were enjoying an exclusive interaction with the artists. I'm not sure if the artists were performing but it appeared that the clientele were Austrian locals. Not sure how to enjoy this or what it includes but there appears to be an even more intimate...

Absolutely blown away! Incredible. First, a confession: I knew this concert would be good, but I thought it might be somewhat cheesy for tourists. I was wrong! The musicians enthusiastically performed their parts, and their intonation was excellent. The singers—impeccable performances that reach beyond the opera stage and involve the audience directly in the performance, as the song and moment suggest. I laughed and I cried! The singers had fantastic technique and commitment, as though they were at the Met, or La Scala in Milan—but free to interact and play with the music. And the food—the oldest restaurant in the world delivered delicious dishes of traditional Austrian fare. The wine list was deep and had excellent choices—many local vintners represented. The nockerl was special! Finally, the staff were incredible! They tirelessly work to bring out food, drinks, and keep everything seamlessly moving, and they don’t get the cheers, but they should! I feel like we made friends with the hostess and our waiter. Good people! The value for this show is not reflected in the price. It could cost double and I’d still go. Book your ticket! You’ll be glad you did!
