One of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. Sad really how beautiful Salzburg city experience can be ruined if you stop to have a meal in this place. Looking at other reviews I see we were not the only ones who had pretty unpleasant visit. The blond haired man (host or manager probably) was clearly annoyed that we walked in and didnt even seemed to try to hide it. The €9.90 Schnitzel sign lured three of us in. We asked to be seated by the window, but we got negative reply by the host. (place was almost empty) In short, wrong drinks and food was brought to us, then clearly agitated blond host tried to accuse us of ordering the wrong food that was brought to us. My gluten free chicken salad came with chicken rolled in bread crumbs. Instead of large beer we got small, and when asked if it can be replaced with large, we got answer no, because there was no large glasses left, although there was plenty of large pints on the bar shelf and other people were drinking large beers. Two portions of schnitzel were a lot different in size. At the end the host comes and tells us the price to pay insted of bringing the bill. Also, they do not take cards and it is not mentioned untill its time to pay. I would not recommend this place to anyone, I would give...
Read moreHighly NOT RECOMMEND. Visited this restaurant today for lunch. This place is highly disappointing. :( I ordered Käsespätzle and Schnitzel, both the dishes were pathetic. Käsespätzle was not at all cheesy and tasty. When I asked them to add some cheese, they got offended and said it is the authentic Käsespätzle. I told them I’ve had authentic Käsespätzle, they said we serve it this way only in the house. Then I again politely asked them to add some cheese, the waiter (the tall guy) got it and wasn’t kind while serving the extra cheese, for which I was charged extra -_- As you can see in the picture, the Schnitzel is very thin and is also not upto the mark when it comes to the taste. The table was cleared the moment I put the fork down and while I had my drink left, the waitress got me the bill. Felt like they just wanted me to leave without finishing my drink. The waiters and waitresses were eating behind the bar, which was visible and simultaneously they served orders. It’s okay to take a break and have your food, but seeing this was highly unprofessional and was bit offensive as I could see them having their food and serving food without washing their hands. The prices are way too high as compared to the quantity and...
Read moreTERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We went to this place after seeing that there was a promotion of Schnitzel for 9,90€, after asking about these prices we decided to take seat.
a) the Schnitzel was as thin as a ham slice;
b) we asked for a coffee (in english) that never came and after asking again (in german) they served us 2 strudels and 2 coffees. We point out that we NEVER asked for a strudel and the chef (meaning manager or something like that) - a very tall blonde man - became super aggressive and started a fight with us. In front of everyone he raised his voice, he was impolite and took the strudels back after a big effort of explaining this to him.
c) in the end they bring the bill in which each Schnitzel is priced at 12,90€. We didn't want to argue again so we paid the value and we left.
Never coming back again and can't recommend this to anyone. No wonder this was the only place with a free table in...
