Daimler's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Salzburg

Came here tonight after reading promising reviews about this restaurant and the food did not disappoint it was cooked thoroughly tasted amazing and portion was decent size aswell as the price When I walked in it was empty around 7:30pm and I spotted a window seat overlooking the river outside nobody was sat in it and I asked the waitress if i could sit there she seemed a bit blunt at first and said "well it's meant to be for 3 people" felt like pointing out to her well the only 3 people here is me, you and the chef but I didn't..no one else was sat there so after 10 mins of sitting in another space for 1 person (where she sat me) she changed her mind and allowed me to sit in the empty window seat not sure why I couldn't have sat there the first place as it wasn't reserved/hadn't been used As far as I know you dont need to reserve a table here Anyway she could have been more friendly and less standoffish The chef and male waiter seemed lovely and did a wonderful job preparing my food Given 4 stars for the food and price but had to knock one off for the waitress and...

We we’re there for our New Year’s Eve. We had a reservation from 20:00 until 22:00 for 10 people to have our celebration dinner. We we’re waiting for our food for 1:30 minutes and 15 minutes after that the waitress came to us about 3 times , trying to kick us out, because there was another group of people coming. At 21:45 she told us that we need to live like about 4-5 minutes. We started explaining her that we didn’t even finish our meals which we waited for one hour and a half and that it is very disrespectful and unprofessional to kick us out and take our plates like this. Then she told us that her boss is coming. After 5 minute another waiter or “boss” came and was very polite and nice, he apologized, told us that we can finish our meals and calmly leave after we finish. And he also gave us shots on the house. nevertheless the mood was still spoiled…

We visited this restaurant at 7:00 PM, expecting a great experience based on the many positive reviews. While the food was good and the prices very reasonable, our experience was not as enjoyable as we had hoped.

The dining area was empty, and the cocktail bar downstairs was closed, which took away some of the ambiance. We ordered cocktails and burgers, but everything was served at the same time. It would have been nicer to enjoy our drinks first before having our meal.

The waitress was polite and professional, but she checked on us very frequently, which felt a bit overwhelming. She also cleared our plates one by one, giving us the impression that we were being rushed out. It almost seemed like they wanted to close the restaurant as quickly as possible.

On the positive side, the burgers were tasty, though the fries were just standard frozen ones. Would recommend for a quick meal, but not if you're looking for a leisurely...
