MENTOR'S BAR KULTUR — Restaurant in Salzburg

Absolutely horrible owner. We went there and at first he seemed very friendly but extremely hyper, you could tell that he was under the influence. He started hitting on my friend, but she wasn‘t really interested, so she was rather quiet. He didn‘t like that so he started insulting her by telling her that young people these days are so arrogant and that she is at his bar so she should behave. She told him to stop this behavior, so he told her that if she doesn‘t like it, he can just kick her out. My friend responded with ‚or maybe I just leave myself‘. She left and he told my other friend how he immediately can tell when someone is toxic, which is why he acted this way. He also told us that he is 15 years older than us, so we should respect him. He continued by explaining why he was in the right and how toxic young people (we are in our early twenties) these days are, even though he was the one hitting on my friend and by not responding, clearly his fragile man ego was insulted. Mind you all of this happened, while he was completely on it, so everything he said and did seemed very intense and agressive. The owner doesn‘t care about the bad reviews, but maybe people considering going to this bar do. If you scroll through the bad reviews, you can immediately tell that all of them are in regards to the owner. This is a common occurrence...

We went there because we heard it’s a nice place to have a cocktail in Salzburg. Even though at a first sight the owner is a really friendly person, the cocktails we got were way too far of a good cocktail. All of them were way too watery and with no taste at all. I still don’t understand how can a Moscow mule, a margarita and a gin basil smash not have taste at all. Meanwhile the bar was getting full and one could see that the boss was acting as best friends of everyone. Nevertheless for those people like us who were there for the first time we were completely forgotten. At some point and because of no logical reason the boss started to get stressed and kicked us out from the terrace even if it was because they didn’t manage to bring us the bill which we asked for half an hour ago. He saw he had no right to get stressed with us and tried to change the situation making some jokes. Too late. The bar tries to be something cool and trendy which it isn’t. It’s just a place for those people who feel friends with the boss to go there and pay 11€ for a really average cocktail. Don’t let the first impression of the “friendly boss” try to blind you. Just the people who act as their best friends will be...

We went there to have some cocktails, as the place was recommended to us.

The bartender was not professional. He offended us, by various statements during our visit. I am going to bar, to enjoy drinks with friends and not being offended or forced to have a discussion about pseudo intellectual topics with the drunk bar tender. There is no "Kultur" in that place.

Moreover, the order took over 40min to be completed.
