Stadtalm — Restaurant in Salzburg

A must do while in Salzburg. Easiest way there is to take the elevator up to the museum. Only pay for the lift ticket, currently €2 each way. Exit the back of the museum and follow the road towards the Festung (left). Continue until you go through the stone wall and curl to the left. It will be straight ahead. Lovely little cafe in a fortification wall. Beautiful views over Salzburg and surrounding area. There are only outdoor seats so best left for a nice day.

Waiter was friendly however he was the only one meaning there was a wait for service. Fortunately food was made quickly.

Suppentopf was good while sponge cake was a tad dry.

Overall a nice stop off and for someone who likes medieval history lovely to eat so close to some...
