We came here because of good reviews and we weren't wrong. It's a very popular Thai restaurant and when we got here around 8 pm on Sunday evening there were no seats available inside or outside. We had to wait about 15 minutes before getting a table and then was told that it would be another 30 mins before we get our food from the time we ordered it.
So by the time our food was served it was already 9 pm. While we were waiting a few more people turned up but sadly some left due to long waiting times.
Being an Asian place I was surprised to find that they don't serve hot green tea. Instead they had some funk sounding tea which we ordered. When the tea arrived it's blue in colou and it came with a slice of lemon and when I put a drop of lemon in the tea the colour changed to purple! Really funky tea.
We ordered spicy duck curry, morning glory and roast pork salad and everything tasted really good. We wanted to order all the other dishes but we know we couldn't eat them all, so we had to limit ourselves to what we can eat at that time.
Indoors, the place was beautifully decorated as well as having several very high quality photographs of Thailand and it made the place so much nicer.
This place is worth coming back for multiple times. The fact that there were 3 thai ladies in the kitchen cooking the food gave me confidence that the food will be authentic and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this Thai restaurant in the center of Vienna, and itās definitely an interesting little spot. The restaurant itself is very small, which makes the atmosphere a bit cramped, so Iād give it a solid 4 for ambiance.
As for the food, it was delicious. I ordered the classic Pad Thai ā my go-to dish for judging Thai restaurants. The portion was huge, so much so that I had to eat it in three rounds! It was very flavorful, with plenty of chicken, good-quality noodles, lots of greens, and fresh vegetables. While it wasnāt the best Pad Thai Iāve ever had, it was definitely authentic and satisfying.
The service was efficient and discreet; the servers were attentive but not intrusive, and everything was prepared quickly. The only downside to the atmosphere is that the space is quite tight, and the kitchen staff has to walk through the dining area with supplies, which can be a bit distracting.
Overall, great food and solid service, but the ambiance could be improved. Highly recommend for a delicious Thai meal in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Spicy Duck Curry was absolutely delicious, however the Fried Rice Noodles with Shrimps was a little disappointing as it was lukewarm and only had a couple of shrimps. Then came the dessert which fixed things back. The sticky rice with coconut milk was delish coupled with one of the best mango we ever tasted. As drinks we ordered tea which was really comforting but the lemon wedges were quite dry. It was fascination to watch the magic butterfly pea flower tea turning from blue color to purple when squeezing in lime juice. Hoping the owners read their reviews, itās one thing when you sit at a table and you find a dirty ashtray, and another when you ask the waiter for an ashtray and they bring you a dirty one! Nevertheless, the staff is friendly and quick. P.S. - we also visited their other location in the past, where the whole dinning experience was perfect from start to end. So maybe the standard was set high and we came with too high expectations. All in all, definitely...
